The Zodiac Killer murdered victims in northern California between 1966-1969. His identity remains unknown as investigators were never able to match fingerprints or other evidence to known suspects. He sent taunting letters and cryptograms to newspapers and police that included his trademark zodiac symbol. While some 2,500 suspects were investigated, the case remains unsolved to this day.
