Mojo Pakistan is a group of professional journalists and mobile content creators who are using their leveraging the technology available in smartphones by combining it with their field-sharpened skills to tell stories through this emerging platform.

OF THE 207 MILLION PAKISTANIS, 70.53%, OR 146 MILLION USE CELL
PHONES IN THE COUNTRY. OF THESE, AROUND A THIRD OR AROUND
49 MILLION, USE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION CONNECTIVITY –
OSTENSIBLY ON THEIR SMARTPHONES.
SO, WE OBSERVED THE NEED TO BUILD A CONCERTED
PLATFORM FOR MOJO IN PAKISTAN AND FOUNDED MOJO
PAKISTAN AS AN ORGANIZATION IN 2016, TO PROVIDE A
LEARNING PLATFORM, EQUIPPED AND EMPOWERING THE
JOURNALIST AND CITIZENS WITH THE CONCEPT OF
MOJO- ONE MAN ARMY KNIFE.

becoming more and more common, and access to
digital content platforms becoming easier, it has
allowed everyone with a device in their pocket with a
camera, an internet connection to become a content
creator, storyteller and in many aspects, a reporter.

8. AYAZ I. A. KHAN
Founder
Ayaz Khan is a multimedia trainer, researcher, and technology and founder of Mojo Pakiostan.
For the last three years since 2016, Khan has led the development of Mobile Journalism
production model that harnesses the potential of smartphones as content creation devices.
He has also trained the trainers (Training of Trainers Program) several National (Sindh, KPK,
Baluchistan) and International Journalist, Producers, Media Professionals and Students with
Mobile Video Making concepts, Mobile Visuals Gathering and Mobile Storytelling Techniques
and Editing for Broadcast and Social Media.
Khan also led a research program for MoJo (Mobile Journalism) in Karachi, Lahore and
Islamabad regions. This program was based on hands-on testing with professional mobile
gadgets, journalist reviews, discussions, and collaboration with national and international
journalists, speakers and instructors. Khan has led the several digitalization projects at Express
News and Video research-based project and Broadcast Information Technology.
WAQAS SHAHID
Co-Founder
Waqas Shahid is a Director/Filmmaker and Co-founder of Mojo Pakistan, He is among the rare
Director/ filmmakers who are proficient in weaving compelling visuals and narratives in Reality
programs and films. He has worked with almost all the largest Media Groups of Pakistan for
more than 10 years and work as a Director, Programming Producer, Editor and scriptwriter.
He was started his career as Assistant Director in FM91, TvOne and involved with many projects
during his tenor, And then a short time later, he was counted in the best Directors and
Producers of Pakistan and worked with Voice of America Asia Photo Contest 2012, Feature Film
Raasta, Geo tv, Geo Entertainment, Express News, Capital Tv, News1 Tv, TV One, Azm Awards
Azme-Alishan.
