We realize that capturing a global user base of individuals with high profiles and
net-worth may be a cumbersome task.
Our plan to achieve this is through securing ‘Sponsorships and Partnerships’
with reputed corporate brands and philanthropic organizations, that would guide
their clientele to our platform in exchange for presence and advertisements.
Securing our first sponsorship will act as a proof-point for Moirel, thereby
determining the viability of our business model.
10. Potential Challenges
Increasing costs of customer acquisition and retention.
Overseas shipping/customs clearance.
Canada is a fragmented market, need set immediate base in the U.S, Middle
East and Asian markets.
Increasing dominance and prevalence of luxury re-sale marketplaces.
Need to quickly establish a substantial user-base as all depends on user-
generated content.
11. Execution
Our web platform is currently being developed in-house and will be ready to test-launch
by November 2015.
If accepted by FounderFuel, with development being completed simultaneously, our aim
will be to pre-approach sponsors to have a potential user base lined up before we go live.
We aim to create enough buzz and interest to secure a waiting-list of individuals looking
to join the platform by undertaking various pre-launch digital marketing initiatives,
spanning November 2015 to February 2016.
Our final beta launch will take place in March 2016. Guidance from FounderFuel can
help us pre-pone this date to January 2016.
12. The Ask
We are currently looking to secure investment for our mobile app, pre-launch marketing
initiatives and working capital for the year of 2016.
The $50,000 investment from FounderFuel for 6% of our company is an ideal starting
point.
Due to our cost-effective marketing strategies and the technical nature of our business
model, we feel this amount will be sufficient for app development and our pre and
(early) post-launch marketing initiatives.
If we manage to score a prominent sponsor by April 2016, we will establish ourselves as
‘venture-ready’ and look forward to raise seed capital to scale up our platform and
business operations.
We will also look forward to present ourselves as eligible for the $150,000 by BDC
Venture Capital moving forward.
