Open Group Presentation on MSBI method of creating Enterprise Architecture Co...Nick Malik
This presentation describes a step-by-step process for creating a core diagram that is applicable to companies that exist within the collaboration operating model, as described by Ross and Weill in their book "Enterprise Architecture As Strategy." The method produces a core diagram that preserves business agility by forcing the enterprise architect to consider the costs and benefits of reuse of processes, information, services, and systems. The resulting model supports "Capability at the Core, and Agility at the Edge."
Multi-function Shared Services center - an emerging trendZinnov
Shared services organizations are built on a foundation of reducing cost, promoting efficiencies and, ultimately, in achieving high performance. The evolution curve demonstrates that the shared services model has come a long way from the 70s when the focus was on centralizing non-core business processes to the current model of a portfolio approach based on establishing multi-shore, multi-delivery operations with best in breed solution offering. A variety of business functions are currently being outsourced/globalized with IT, F&A and HRO achieving significant maturity. In terms of locations, Indian cities (Bangalore, NCR and Pune) lead the way as the preferred destinations for most of the F&A, HRO and Inside Sales souring. Locations in Eastern Europe and Latin America offer viable alternatives.

Due to economic uncertainty many businesses are seeking to become more efficient while maintaining quality and service. Transitioning to a shared service model is at a fever pitch. Here are ten steps to a successful shared service center implementation.
A Sales Force Effectiveness Analysis is used to support the decision making process by providing a detailed overview of the variety of forces that may be acting on an organisational change issue. It allows the user to assess the source and strength of these forces and is particularly useful in the planning and implementation stages of change management.

From our experience we have developed an info graphic which provides complete overview of our website design and development process . This info graphic has clean demarcation of responsibilities of the customer and client. As you can see its not that simple to develop a website :) .

2. CONCEPTES CLAU

general, pot connectar-se a diversos servidors alhora;
normalment interactua directament amb els usuaris finals
mitjançant una interfície gràfica d’usuari.
5. DIFERÈNCIES ENTRE…

• Està adaptat a les necessitats
bàsiques dels consumidors.
• Tenen poca potència i capacitat
de memòria si ho comparem
amb el hardware del servidor ja
que no necessiten rebre ni
realitzar diferents tasques
provinents de diversos
consumidors a la vegada.

S E R V I D O R
• Està constituït d’acord amb dues
necessitats principals: la
transferència de dades d’una
manera ràpida i la seguretat i
integritat d’aquestes.
• Necessita aparells molt potents
que suportin la gran quantitat
d’informació que hi arriba a més
d’una gran capacitat de
memòria.

• S’utilitzen programes més
sencills i concrets que es
troben a l’abast de tots els
usuaris. Ens ofereixen diferents
serveis depenent de les
necessitats de cada un.
• Ex: Libreoffice, Gmail, Google
Chrome.

10. 5. Normalment, en una
xarxa configurada com a
grup de treball no
participen més de vint
ordinadors.
6. A causa de tot això, els
grups de treball han de ser
una alternativa que hem de
valorar en determinades
situacions, però la majoria
de les vegades haurem
inclinar-nos per un model
client - servidor.
