This document discusses the Open University's mobile library services project. It provides background on the project which began in 2007 to develop services for smartphones, feature phones, and simple phones. Usage of mobile library resources grew from 0.2% of users in 2009 to 4.3% in 2012. The project aimed to make library resources like the student portal, virtual learning environment, website, and e-resources accessible via mobile. It utilized technologies like CSS, PHP, jQuery, and APIs to create mobile discovery tools and resources. A good practice toolkit was also developed to share lessons learned.
