MMVC22 is an annual online virtual conference run by Dr Nellie Deutsch via her moodle site. This year Sheryl McCoy and I presented our work on understanding how to best teach EFL to students who do not have English as a second language in their country. During the live event we explained out theory to date and how we have enveloped many ideas and methodologies to arrive at best possible course creation.

➢ EFL = English as a Foreign Language
➢ L1 = One First language in the group
➢ L2 = English is the second language (studied, spoken)
➢ EFL Teacher should know some L1 and above C2 level of
English
➢ EFL requires learner to become Fluent and confident
(Speaking, Writing)
➢ ESL = English as a Second Language (mixed L1 classroom)
➢ ESL Teacher = required knowledge of more languages
