1. Hamilton Poole
Career Mission Statement
Step 1: SF, Providing practical service to others, making people’s lives better in concrete ways
Step 2: Realistic (R): Using hands-on skills to produce tangible results
-This is the highest one on my MBTI preferences and it stand out to me because it
describes me perfectly. I am a very hands on and a kinesthetic typer of learner. I have to learn by
physically doing those things.
Social (S): Helping others know, grow, change, and get along for the betterment of
humanity
-I love to make people happy by doing things for them and helping out for the
greater cause.
Step 3: What is the most important to you about work? The most important things to me about
work are being physically able to use tools and equipment to work on things. I also enjoy making
a check list or a system of operation to help better my work.
What do you value most about what you do? I value tradition, practicality, and common
sense in the work place. I also highly value accuracy and efficiency when I am working.
What do you want to accomplish through your work? I want to be able to accomplish a
lot of work on machines in a well organized and well planned out manner that will help the
country.
Step 4: Does your career mission statement accurately reflect what you are doing right now as a
student? It kind of reflects accurately on what I am doing. I am in ROTC which is a lot of
helping others and hands on experience. However, I would love to do something with machines
and I am not headed in that direction.
Does it reflect what you see for yourself in 5-10 years? How? If not, how can you use this
statement as guidance for your future career opportunities? Yes, it does reflect what I see myself
doing in the future perfectly. I am interested in going into the military to serve and help and the
leaving to go out and hopefully become a mechanic.
Do you see your values expressed in your mission? What values do you see express? Yes
my mission points me to a life of serving and working hands on with things. This perfectly
expresses my values in life. My values would be the betterment of others, common sense, being
physically fit, and efficient in whatever I do.
