LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

4. Our History
• Christ Our Redeemer AME Church
(COR) commenced its journey on the
UCI campus on February 3, 1991.
• By August 1998, the church had
relocated to Faith Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Irvine with a
modest assembly of 10 worshippers.
• Returning to UCI in January 2000,
COR flourished, establishing various
ministries such as Children’s Church
and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Scholarship.
• In 2006, COR acquired a new
sanctuary at 46 Maxwell, Irvine, but as
the congregation grew, a larger space
was needed.
• Consequently, on September 5, 2014,
COR moved to its current home at 45
Tesla, Irvine, where it held its
inaugural worship service.
5. Our Mission
We are one: Building A
Covenant Community
Through the Holy Spirit we are
building lives, we are building
families, we are building
community.
We are building for our spiritual
future to live an eternity with
Christ!
6. For just as each of us has one body with many
members, and these members do not all have the
same function, so in Christ we, though many, form
one body, and each member belongs to all the
others. We have different gifts, according to the
grace given to each of us. If your gift is
prophesying, then prophesy in accordance
with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is
teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give
encouragement; if it is giving, then give
generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to
show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Romans 12:4-8
Our foundation for
Building a Covenant
Community
8. Our
Four
Pillars
Spiritual Development – Matthew 5:6
At Christ Our Redeemer, we believe that nurturing spiritual
growth through prayer, fasting, bible study, and the preached
word is the key to becoming a true disciple of Christ.
Church Growth - Matthew 28:19-20
Church growth refers to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ
throughout the world, persuading others to join the body of
Christ.
At COR, we believe that positive and transformative outcomes
can be achieved when the church reaches out to people in their
own contexts.
Here at COR welcome people of diverse communities and
cultures who wish to follow the teachings of Christ in this
constantly changing world.
9. Our
Four
Pillars
Stewardship - Proverbs 3:9-10
Honor the Lord with your possessions and the first fruits of your
increase; your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will
overflow with new wine.
At COR, stewardship is a biblical mandate we encourage
members to make every effort to be faithful to God with their
time, talent, and treasure.
Church Administration – Ephesians 4:11-12
We believe that church administration is one of many spiritual
ministries ordained by God. It involves the wise stewardship of
God's resources to accomplish the church's mission.
At COR, we believe in utilizing spirit-led individuals with their
gifts and talents to glorify God and the resources entrusted in
our care for kingdom building.
10. Teaching is a shared
responsibility
In every Christian community, the pastor
and church leaders share the responsibility
of assisting members with developing
spiritual principles that influence making the
right moral decisions.
This membership class will provide you with
biblical solutions to empower you with a
renewed sense of confidence and self-
esteem to make good spiritual choices.
Each lesson was purposely developed to aid
you as a member with understanding your
Christian beliefs and how to share your
faith.

God, you will receive what he has
promised.” Hebrews 10:35–36

a desire goal,

successful.”
18. Goal
Empowering
Members
• Our goal is to empower you as a member
with knowledge of the Word of God.
• Hebrews 4:12
• For the word of God is alive and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,

Members
• Our goal is to transform members into
becoming an active member of a
covenant community by demonstrating
the importance of supporting one
another and working together in small

man remains in me and I in him, he will
bear much fruit; apart from me you can
do nothing.

to encourage and create an
opportunity for members to work
together in small groups.

not just a member of a local church,
but also a citizen of the world.
• The role as a citizen is to help one
another build strong, working
relationships in their church,
community, and world.

22. The Apostle
Creed is the
foundation of
what we
believe
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven
and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord who
was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and
buried.
The third day he arose from the dead; he ascended into
heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty, from thence he shall come to judge the quick
and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church universal, the
communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen
