The document outlines the key elements of building a premier culture of ongoing formation. It acknowledges that all disciples require lifelong formation and that people come from diverse backgrounds. A culture of formation recognizes the church's mission, values lay ministry, and calls for ongoing competency through formation rather than just clocking hours. It provides formation opportunities, establishes clear expectations, utilizes technology, and relies on leaders serving as role models and collaborators. The overall goal is building up the body of Christ through equipping the holy ones for ministry.

When the enemy comes in like a flood, God raises a standard.
A standard are shared principles for living life together. They are a place to stand, and are often symbolized in a banner or a flag. A flag is also called a standard.
We are called to understand our unity, living out the Great Commandment, the Great Commission and the 4 things from Acts: Apostle's Teaching, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread and Prayer.
We are called to find our destiny, our special place of service.
In our unity and in our diversity we should stand, run, serve God and others. And, we should reproduce. Entrust these things to faithful people who will teach others.
Standing on these solid precepts, let's see the Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Stewardship is about what we do with what we have once we say we believe. It is that part of our lives where we decide if we're really going to Walk the Walk as much as we Talk the Talk!

Preaching is one ministry of the Christian church... it is how the church addresses issues of all sorts... (spiritual to ethical to social to political)...

God chooses to gift the church with anointed leadership. What is your response to the call to lead or to be led? A continuation of a series on spiritual gifting.
Christians are called to be ambassadors for Christ or ministers of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:11-21). We are also instructed to pursue peace with all people (Hebrews 12:14 and Romans 12:14-19). If we are to draw all men unto Christ, we are to understand the importance of a personal relationship with Christ, our unique gifting, life purpose, and preservation of unity in the body of Christ. Diversity within the body of Christ brings about maturity when we submit to one another in the fear of the Lord. We learn to serve and appreciate different or difficult people out of an appreciation for the unique individuality that expresses a providential purpose for our relationships.
When darkness comes in like a flood, God raises a standard. A standard is a safe place for people to stand. Now, more than ever, darkness is coming upon us. We need to stand together, united. To do so, we need to understand and affirm the standards we share.

26. Acknowledges the Value of Lay Ministry I believe that one of the important and positive results of the Council: the co-responsibility of the entire parish, for the parish priest is no longer the only one to animate everything. Since we all form a parish together, we must all collaborate and help so that the parish priest is not left on his own, mainly as a coordinator, but truly discovers that he is a pastor who is backed up in these common tasks in which, together the parish lives and is fulfilled.

37. …live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, Striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: One body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; One Lord, one faith, one baptism; One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. And he gave some as apostles, others as prophets, Others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers, to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry…for building up the body of Christ.
