This document provides a list and details of the props, costumes, and equipment needed to produce a film noir project. It discusses items that will be bought, made, or borrowed. Specifically, it notes that a necklace, earrings, cigarettes, and stained white shirt will be bought. A model car and fake blood will be handmade. Borrowed items include a period camera, fake gun, dresses, suits, hat, and handbag from friends and family. Hair and makeup will be done by one of the students. Location details are not included but will be decided through further research.

There aren’t a lot of things that we need to buy, as
between us we know a people that can supply us
with the things we need. The things on left are all
maybes.
Necklace-Both me and Courtney have ones we
think could work but we need to check them and if
they aren’t suitable then we will some.
Earrings-They are the same as the necklace. I have
some earrings I feel will work but we need to
discuss them and maybe buy a pair if we don’t
agree they are suitable.
Cigarette-We will need to buy these, traditionally in
Film Noir they smoke straights so we will buy some
straights. None of our characters however smoke,
we will be creative with filming to suggest that they
are smoking
Stained White Shirt-We need a clean shirt and a
stained one for the darkroom scene when the AntiHero is a mess. We will buy a cheap shirt to ruin so
we can keep the expensive one as the clean one.

There is only two things we will be making, the car
and the fake blood.
The Car- We will be making car out of cardboard, but
only the behind of the car, so the Femme Fatale has
something to get out of. We will be drawing the
outline of a traditional 1920s car on cardboard then
painting it and cutting it out. We will also need to
think about lights on the car.
Fake Blood-We will have to make the fake blood
following one of the instructions I have previously
linked on my blog. We will need to consider if it will
stain or not. We will probably be using my prom dress
and I’m not sure how I feel about staining it. We will
look into it.
Make Up-As me and Courtney stated in our jobs
allocation post, Courtney have a strong passion for
doing peoples hair and make up, so Courtney will be
doing all the actors hair and make up. For the men
we will probably just style hair.

A lot of what we are using is being borrowed
Camera-Me and my mum have lots of old and new cameras. And
my mum has a camera from the correct era, and we will be
using that
Gun-A family friend has a fake, but realistic Desert Pistol that we
will borrow
Dress-I am considering using my prom dress, I am unsure though
as the fake blood could stain it. However me and Courtney have
discussed it and I have a fitted Ladies knee length coat that I
could wear over the prom dress to prevent that staining.
Suit-The two people playing men in suits (Anti-Hero, and Villain)
both have suits they can use.
Hat-The same family friend that has a Pistol also has a Trilby hat
we will borrow.
Handbag- Courtney has a lot of old bags from the Film Noir Era
that we will use.
High Heels-We need to look into whether you will see the shoes
or not, because as long as you can’t it doesn’t matter what high
heels the I wear as the Femme Fatale, but if you can see them it
changes that and we will have to consider them more.
