Q3: What role does information technology
play in each of these businesses? How is it
helping them refine their business strategies?
Walmart
Amazon
Q4: Will Walmart be successful against Amazon.com?
Explain your answer.
Difference between Amazon and Walmart is that Amazon has no brick-and-mortar stores, but is focused
heavily on the e-commerce side.
Amazon will be more successful as consumers in future may prefer a shop via E-commerce as opposed to
going brick and mortar.
Walmart may not go out of business due to people such as the older generation whom still prefer to
physically see a product before purchasing it.
Both companies have a long future ahead of them as services of what the both companies offer will still be
wanted by consumers.
