Rockwool Fondens Forskningsenhed præsenterer en ny analyse af, hvilke forhold der er bestemmende for antallet af asylansøgere til Danmark samt for sammensætningen af asylansøgerne. Målet er at få en uddybet forståelse af, hvilke mekanismer og baggrundsvariable der er udslagsgivende for henholdsvis valget eller fravalget af Danmark som destination.
I analysen undersøges det blandt andet, hvad oprindelseslandets karakteristika i form af levevilkår, styreform og demografi har af betydning.
Den nye analyse fra forskningsenheden undersøger også konsekvenserne af stramninger i asylpolitikken. Konsekvenserne måles på tilgangen af asylansøgere samt på, hvilke ændringer i sammensætningen af asylansøgere en stramning fører med sig.
Resultaterne kommenteres af panelet.
