He concurrently serves as a partner of his law firm, Sentell Law Firm, LLC, which focuses on trial litigation in cases brought against building contractors, oil and gas law, contract law, and personal injury and wrongful death claims.

2. Introduction
 In January 2015, Sherb Sentell took office as Minden-Ward 1
City Judge in Louisiana. He concurrently serves as a partner
of his law firm, Sentell Law Firm, LLC, which focuses on trial
litigation in cases brought against building contractors, oil
and gas law, contract law, and personal injury and wrongful
death claims. In addition to these roles, Sherb Sentell has
served his community in many roles, including serving two
terms as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Minden
Medical Center, which is a 161-bed acute care hospital that
serves over 70,000 people in the southern portion of
Webster Parish and the surrounding communities. Minden
Medical Center has been recognized by the March of Dimes
for its work in reducing elective inductions and cesarean
sections.

3. The March of Dimes
 The March of Dimes officially recognized Minden Medical Center as
one of 45 facilities that have lowered the rate of elective inductions
and cesarean sections performed prior to 39 weeks to less than 1
percent. This accomplishment is vital to the health of babies, as
studies show that those born early have higher rates of illness and
hospitalization than babies born at full term. Further, babies born at
37 weeks have twice the infant death rate than that of babies born at
40 weeks.
To achieve its goals in this area, Minden Medical Center collaborated
with the March of Dimes in promoting the Healthy Babies are Worth
the Wait campaign, and the result is a community of mothers
committed to giving their babies the healthiest possible start in life.
