Our 1st Club Assembly was laced with excitement and apprehension on what we should all
expect out of the movement. All this was put to rest after our interactive session with Ravi and
incoming President’s presentation on his vision for the coming year. We got an insight into
rotary functioning and were sure we were treading the right path. Gyaan filled session was
followed by soul stirring music and scrumptious dinner. We all bonded over soulful vintage
music and as the melody wafted through the air, our spirits soared higher. Everyone was
stirred to sing , tap and dance. We didn't want the music to stop but like all good things have
to come to an end so did this. It left us with beautiful memories. Truly vintage moments,
memories will not decay for a lifetime.

The festival of colours was celebrated amongst the
warmth and love of colourful friends, beautiful décor,
delicious chaat and overflowing drinks..... the bhang pur
rang Jama ho jaise part was the rain dance and the DJ.

PETS was an excellent opportunity to interact with fellow
Rotarians and learn more about this incredible movement. What
stood out for me was to witness the amazing energy and
enthusiasm displayed by the Rotarians there, most of whom were
veterans of the movement having been Rotarians for a number of
decades. The program was meticulously organised with a world
class faculty of trainers. It was a wonderful learning experience
and I strongly encourage and urge our fellow Rotarians to grasp
any opportunity to attend such training programs.

Seven couples from our Rotary attended the Rotary Foundation Ball – ‘MTV Bollyland’ at
Kingdom of Dreams. The performance of Artists specially Ankit Tiwari and Neha Kakar was
extremely enjoyable. Though in general we found several lapses in the organization of the event
like crowd management, shortage of drinks, quality of food. Later we hit towards Hemant-Alka’s
house at midnight for a sumptuous meal cooked by Anand and Priya.
Hemant Jain visited an awareness promotion event of Rotary at
Gurgaon Cyber Hub and met up with DG Sanjay Khanna.
