corporate industry is lagging behind

3. • Social media. This is growing fast and with targeted marketing the importance will grow
significantly.
• Blockchain technology application. There is no limit to number of applications based on
blockchain. The technology, which bases on the essence of trust and transparency will outpeform
conventional internet. It will be used in the spheres of finance at larger scales, but will also derive
larger potential in big data management. New ecosystems will emerge on national and regional
levels. Interestingly, blockchain does not need new physical infrastructure, and will grow on
existing calculating potential.
• AI. This is inevitable, that machine intelligence will grow. With the pace of development today, AI
will dominate technology progress significantly. This is particularly interesting in the spheres of
data-management, where current computing capacity does not meet
the needs.
• Psychology and people management, soft skills. With number of jobs
cut in face of technology advances, soft skills will be in highest need.

4. • Reputation management. We talk about PR and marketing today in a limited capacity, compared
to what reputation management will offer in ten years. Reputation costs money, and this will be
strongly integrated into business processes, including risks and opportunities management, i.e.
sustainability agenda.

5. • Climate change adaptation. I will add this to social interaction, given the importance of the
subject today. The trend is that climate change in ten years time will be as strong in everyday
news agenda, as is weather forecast or financial data monitoring. It will be strong on people’s
agenda.
• Languages. People will speak more languages. It is already normal, that people speak three or
four. This will grow to four or five. Global interaction today is erasing borders and there is less
time required to travel.
• Robotics. With AI and IoT, robotics will offer more services to people, which may mean that
human interaction will engage more in the sphere of human to machine interaction and ethics.
• Religion. More efficiency of industrial operations will reveal more time to spend on philosophy
and religion. I expect more academic search on the one hand, and
more conflictual interaction based on religion.
