Mark Pauly –<br />I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Mark at two different companies over an approximate span of 15 years. During this time, Mark demonstrated a solid “can do” problem solving attitude. His analytical skills are sharp and his ability to handle large projects has served him well. <br />As V.P. of Sales and Marketing at Stag-Parkway, Inc. Mark reported to me as Director of Marketing. He successfully navigated the production of our annual catalog. This $1M plus project included: printer selection; all design and production elements with an in-house graphics team; direct collaboration with vendors and our purchasing team; vendor contracts and coop revenue; distribution of finished product (over 500,000 copies of a 900 page piece); and final summary reporting. This project required nearly a 24/7 focus from early July through the end of November. I had total confidence in Mark and he proved more than able to handle the work and stress associated with constant deadlines.<br />Mark was also involved in our early web development process. Collaboratively we worked closely with our IT team to define the parameters for our B2B, B2C and B2B2C strategies. Mark had a passion for this project which was most invaluable.<br />As a key member of our marketing team, Mark could always be counted on for perspective and fresh ideas. As we developed our marketing conference format with vendors Mark was quick to take a leading position. These conferences generated enough revenue to support all of our disparate marketing programs and then some. The ultimate success of the company was in many ways a derivative of these marketing efforts. Mark’s hard work, good ideas and keen sense for detail helped us achieve many of our goals.<br />At Keystone Automotive Mark and I worked for a short time along-side one another. And although Mark didn’t report directly to me, his efforts were critical to launch of our new RV after-market initiative. In what I consider a challenging organizational structure (matrix) Mark was most effective in working collaboratively with other category managers and the marketing department in bringing new vendors to the company.<br />I have a great deal of respect for Mark, his value based life and his work ethic. I have always known him as an individual who is willing to put the time in to get the job done right. His attention to detail helps him avoid the mistakes less focused people make.
