Eleanor of Aquitaine was born in 1122 and married King Louis VII of France in 1137, having two children with him. In 1152 she married Henry Plantagenet and had eight children total, including King John and King Richard I. Eleanor enjoyed riding horses and hunting with falcons. Her main challenge was gaining equal rights and respect for women, which was difficult as it went against the laws of the time, requiring her to enforce changes in law. Some of her accomplishments included writing a book, spreading ideas of women's respect throughout Europe, going on journeys with her husband, and learning Latin, astronomy, and arithmetic.
