In their place, you’ll find new competency designations, such as Microsoft Silver Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/Software competency or the Gold ISV/Software competency. In addition, you’ll find programs to help ISVs to earn those competencies, such as BizSpark and WebsiteSpark.BizSpark.. For small ISVs .. Startups. WebSiteSparkAction Pack. (two kinds. One for Solution Provider.. One for Developer) For Developers. Take your custom software development or website design business to the next level, and increase your market visibility, with the Microsoft Action Pack Development and Design subscription. Action Pack Development and Design is for businesses with fewer than 100 employees whose primary function is to provide development and Web design services.Microsoft Action Pack Development and Design Subscription download-only version costs $429 plus tax, per year. If you would also like to receive physical media, the price is $529 plus tax, per year.For Solution Providers. Microsoft Action Pack Solution Provider offers internal-use, full-version software, online technical support, and sales resources to help you meet your sales goals, stay competitive, and grow your business. The total savings will vary depending on production server usage. Startups will be asked to report all production server usage in the third year of the program. With benefits that are tailored to your area of expertise and that align with your sales cycle, you are better positioned to deliver solutions that meet customers’ needs and grow your business.Make the most of your partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft-commissioned research conducted by IDC shows that partners with a higher level of engagement with Microsoft are more satisfied and demonstrate healthy business growth and profitability. These same partners report larger deal sizes than their peers while keeping sales cycles manageable.
- #14 2Partners can attain multiple silver competencies. When your employees or contractors pass the applicable competency exams, your organization can count those exams toward multiple silver competencies. 3Partners can attain multiple gold competencies. When your employees or contractors pass the applicable gold competency exams, your organization can count those exams toward only one gold competency. 4 Qualifying application tests refers to products that pass Microsoft hardware and software tests, and applies to the Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/Software competency or other competencies through the ISV/Software track. Qualifying application tests vary by product. 5After October 2011, to maintain a gold competency, partners must meet the revenue commitment before their next renewal date. After achieving a gold competency, partners may be required to complete a simple business plan that details the activities that will support their plan. If applicable, a Microsoft representative may be available to help the partner create the business plan.
- #15 8Fees vary by geography. Partners must pay the silver competency fee or gold competency fee one time, per year, per location—no matter how many competencies they have attained.
