This project rearranged dining seats in a linear layout to create a highly efficient interior design for a restaurant in Calicut, India. The lighting design is highlighted, with lights arranged in an undulating wave pattern that adds flowing movement and a magical quality to the space. The goal was to reposition an existing popular business hotel by creating a new identity for its restaurant through interior design, making it a new destination for dining in the city to increase hotel business.

座位重新分布定位，巧妙地融入线性的空间布局之
印度MEZBAN餐厅 中。灯光的设计是整个项目设计的亮点，室内灯光
排布成极富韵律感的波浪形，让室内更为通透立
体，为食客提供一个灵动而优雅的就餐环境。
Rhythm of Light 品牌定位
Mezban Restaurant, India 项目是一间商务酒店的一部分，公司对该酒店进行
了重新设计，将其重新定位。设计策略旨在通过室
内设计风格为这间已经广受欢迎的酒店创建新的标
采编 >谢雪婷 文编 >孙丽雅 翻译 >巫雯锦 识，使其成为城市餐饮的新宠，从而推动酒店的商
业活动。
线性布局
项目位于印度喀拉拉邦卡利卡特市。为了创造高效
的环境和便利的室内设计流线，设计师将座位的排
布进行了重新的定位。四人制及二人制餐桌取代了
八人制和六人制餐桌，将所有的餐桌拼在一齐，巧
妙地融入线性的空间布局之中。等待休闲空间从餐
厅的内部空间塑造延伸出来，等候就餐的宾客可在
此清楚看到餐厅内部情况。
别致灯光
灯光的设计是整个项目设计的亮点，立面设计、空
间布局与灯光的设计和排布都有着密不可分的关
系。室内设计中，虽然单个灯具的设计并没有什么
特色，却被排布成极富韵律感的波浪形，使餐厅之
前的简约风格发生了转变，灯光创造出起伏的地势
和魔术般的照明效果，让人顿时感觉到了空间的流
动性，成为室内设计的点睛之笔。室外的墙面设计
新颖别致，灯光的设计沿着室外的墙体分布起伏，
像千万个月亮挂在墙上，称其为“千月墙”，为立
面设计增添了明显的特色。

In this project, in order to offer a highly efficient environment,
dining seats have been rearranged to be skillfully integrated
into the linear layout and create flowing lines for interior
design. An undulating topography and magical lighting
quality is added to the space through lighting design, which
is the highlight of this restaurant.
Brand Positioning
The project is a part of a business hotel which has been
redesigned by the firm as a repositioning exercise. The
strategy is to create a new identity to the already popular
restaurant though interior architecture making it a new
destination dining in the city to spur the business of the
hotel.
Linear Layout
The brief calls for a highly flexible layout with higher
efficiency on floor, though it meant cutting down the seating
capacity. 8 pax and 6 pax tables have been taken out in
favor of 4 pax and 2 pax seating with could be joined create
desired groups easily, with the linear layout. A vibrant waiting
lounge is carved out from the restaurant space, showcases
the happenings on the restaurant floor.
Charming Light
Lighting design is the highlight of this project and the design
derives its strength from the innovative architectural lighting.
The minimalist design gets transformed by the custom
designed lights which create an undulating topography
and magical lighting quality to the space. Collaborative
Architecture designs the series lights along the exterior wall
named as “Thousand Moons” which lends an unmistakable
character to the facade.
