1. What was once just a sad story from
a Nicholas Sparks’ novel is now real
life. In the fall of 2009 my
grandmother began showing symptoms
of dementia. She now resides at
Sunrise Cottages in Rochester. I am
teaming up with them and the
Alzheimer’s Association to raise
support and awareness for the 2011
Memory Walk. Author Eleanor Cooney
said it best, “Alzheimer’s is death in
slow motion, and it has the ability to
kill love while the person you love
still breathes.” Please join us in our
endeavor.
