BEHVAIORAL INTERVENTION AIDE | NATIONWIDE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL-AUTISM CENTER | JUNE 2014-CURRENT
· I provide ABA therapy to children that are on the Autism Spectrum. I work with clients at home and in the community
and provide a variety of different interventions specific to the child’s needs.
· I work with four clients regularly and this requires me to be organized and efficient in my therapy to each client. As
each child is unique,this has given me a variety of different skills.
· I am also trained to work with severe behavior clients and taught what to do if a client becomes violent or aggressive.
Skills & Abilities
ORGANIZATION
· I have acquired many organizational skills through my past experiences. I am a self-starter and can be an effective
organizer.
· I was in a sorority and our philanthropy was Autism Speaks. I assisted in the planning and implementation of the
events to bring attention to the disorder and help families in need.
LEADERSHIP
· In my current position as an aide,I work on a different team for each client. We have team meetings weekly that
require me to be able to take the lead and discuss how current interventions are working.
· My current position also allows me to make decisions on what changes should be made to an intervention or program to
better help the client.
COMMUNICATION
· Working with the public since I was 16 has given me the patience and the ability to communicate with people
effectively. I have acquired great people skills throughout my years and am able to communicate well with others when
help or assistance is needed. I have also developed a great dealof patience through this.
· Communication is also vital in my current position. I have learned to be able to communicate effectively with parents
and supervisors.
VOLUNTEER & COMMUNITY SERVICE
· Walk Now for Autism Speaks- 2014
· I participated in Walk now for Autism Speaks,which raises money for the organization Autism Speaks.

· I helped organize events for my sorority to help raise money for autism awareness.
· ELIP Conversation Coordinator- 2014
· I worked with internationalgraduate students helping them with their English skills.
· Race For The Cure- 2002-Present
· I annually walk in this event to help raise money for Cancer research.
· Laps For Life
· For one year I was on an Activities Committee that developed events and created flyers. The events funded grants
that were given out to families of loved ones that were diagnosed with breast cancer.
