The Montessori approach to learning differs from
traditional schooling in a number of ways. The
relationship between a student’s guardian and teacher,
for example, is much more important in a Montessori
classroom than at other schools. The guardians of both
new and returning students are expected to meet with
instructors prior to the start of each school year.

During a meeting, an instructor will suggest a classroom to

in the younger or older group in a class. A meeting should also
involve a conversation regarding the instructor’s teaching
methods and classroom management tactics. After a child’s
needs have been assessed and a fitting classroom has been
chosen, parents can proceed to the registration and
enrollment phases.
