We used various media technologies in the planning stages of our production including YouTube for tutorials on video editing software, Microsoft Word for organizing roles and schedules, and Safari to research institutional regulations and find inspiration for costumes by looking up pictures of celebrities. Google Earth helped us plan our filming space by providing an aerial view of the location. Finally, Facebook was used to send event invitations for our filming and organize attendees which was a free and effective way to keep everyone updated.

2. We used Youtube in the planning stages to find online tutorials to help us plan out techniques we would use on final cut and PhotoShop to improve our productions. Microsoft word helped us keep very organised when arranging a roles chart and shooting schedules. We created tables which were clear to read and helped us remain focused. In terms of institutional regulations we used safari to look at MTV.com and research into things we must be aware of. We looked at the scandal of lady Gaga’s music video. Safari also let us find pictures of famous people and there outfits for costume inspiration, research into Warner Music Group and email them and look at the weather forecast on BBC.com for our filming night. We used Google Earth for our filming space at Susie’s house it allowed us to get a clear bird’s eye view of her whole garden and plan around it. Finally we used Facebook to send out our party event for filming and organised guests who were attending/not attending, this was very successful because it was completely free and kept everyone invited up to date.
