1. Storyboard 1st Scene- 1st shot The first shot shows the
main character Wayne in
the psycho padded room.
The shot will be a
long shot. Showing
Wayne and his room.
Then there will be a
close up to his hands
fiddling with each
other- to show he is
waiting or agitated
by something.
The camera will
flicker from his eyes
to his mouth as his
sings his nursery
song.
Wayne will be sitting
in the corner rocking
back and forth and
singing a child’s
nursery rhyme. To
show the audience
he has slight mental
issues.
Wayne will be
smiling and wearing
a old dressing gown
and some odd
pajamas. This is to
show the audience
that he is treated in
a childish way.

2. 1st scene- 2nd shot
The slot in the door opens
and a pair of eyes appear.
The use of rule
of thirds will be
used, grabbing
the attention of
the audience
so a specific
point in the
frame of the
screen.
Points of
attention.
The 180˚ rule will also be used
to transition to the next shot of
the scene, to show the location
of each other characters.
The scene will start of as
watching the window open
in a close up and the eyes
appear, so you can see the
door and window.
Then an over the shoulder
shot of Wayne looking at the
door. This will be a long shot.
This shows the setting and
what it looks like for Wayne.
The camera could arch
from an over the shoulder
shot, around to his face to
show the audience his
reaction to the guard at his
door.

3. Point of interest-
This is used so that
the audience can
instantly be drawn
to the main
character.
1st scene- 3rd shot
This scene is seen
through the eyes of
the guard who is
looking through the
door at Wayne.
In this shot, Wayne
will be portrayed to
look small and
frightened.
This shot is being
used to show the
environment of
Wayne. So the
audience can see the
door he is locked
behind and how he
reacts to the guards
in his room.
In this scene, Wayne and the
guard will exchange some rude
words that could be found
funny to the audience.
This is to add to
the comic
aspect of the
film.
Then a zoom in will come as we
look at Wayne’s face. Then the
shot will turn to a long shot of
the guard standing at the door,
exchanging words with Wayne.
Close up of the door, long
shot of Wayne. Blur the
door, Wayne in focus.
A close up can happen
with the guards hand
as she grips her baton,
to show the audience
that she is not fond of
Wayne.

4. Points of interest.
The character will start of
at the points of interest
and move across the
screen to the other rule
of thirds points of
interest. The camera will
do a very slow pan as the
guard leaves the shot.
The camera can jump shot to
the guards feet as she walks
away. The sound of the
footsteps will get quieter as
she leaves.
1st scene- 4th shot
The sound of
chuckling can come
from the door in a
close up, the door
can open slowly and
the camera enters
the room, to see
Wayne laughing.
Once the guard is
out of the shot, the
camera will slowly
pan back to the door
and slowly zoom in.

5. 2nd scene- 1st shot Wayne will be sitting in the
rule of thirds, points of
interest.The scene will
start off with a
close up side view
of Wayne.
Then a close up of
what’s behind his
back. As his hands
slip behind we see a
book he pulls out.
He will slowly move
the book into his lap
and the camera will
follow it with a small
pan shot or crabbing
shot.
Then a long shot of
his whole body sitting
in the chair.
A shot reverse shot will happen as Wayne
turns pages of the book. Jumps from the
pages (a close up) then to his eyes reading
and back down to the book.

6. 2nd scene- 2nd shot
The book is in focus and
the legs and
surrounding are blurred
out of focus.
This is a birds eyes view shot from just
above Wayne’s head. We do not see his
head in this shot but the book is in main
focus.
The camera will move slowly
down each page that Wayne
is looking at.
The camera can zoom out as
Wayne shuts the book and we
see the front cover. So now
we see the whole of Wayne
sitting in his chair with his
head bowed down and the
book in his lap from a birds
eye point of view.
In the book we see
scripted writing and
big titles indicating
what type of book it
is. The when Wayne
closes the book we
also see the front
cover that Is a
witchcraft-
demonology book.

7. Tilt down from eyes to mouth
2nd scene- 3rd shot
Wayne’s eyes will be dilated
to show his craziness.
This will be a sort
and quick shot of
Wayne’s face as he
realises what he’s
going to do.
The camera will go
to Wayne’s face, his
eyes and we watch
them narrow then
the camera slowly
tilts down to his
mouth as an evil
cunning smile
appears.
As soon as we see his smile, the
camera suddenly cuts out and jumps
to the next scene.

8. 3rd scene- 1st shot
In the scene, it all fits
together, the previous
scenes.
We see that Wayne
has broken out of his
asylum and is running
away.
We would use a
panning tracking shot
to show him running.
We are going to use
long shots and
medium shots in these
scenes to get the full
effect that he is
running away.
Wayne is running away
from the asylum that he
has just broke out off and
then he falls, disappears
from the camera frame
and then reappears. We
are including this as
slapstick comedy for our
production.

9. 3rd scene- 2nd shot
We will use a long
shot/ master shot to
see Wayne running
out of the gates of
the asylum.
Possibly we will use a panning shot
to track Wayne’s movements.

10. 3rd scene- last shot
Wayne has arrived at
his destination,
holding the photo of
his family and the
demonology book.
We will use a
medium shot so that
we can see the
house in the
background and so
we can see how he
will react to seeing
his family home after
so long.
The audience will know this is
Wayne’s family home because in
the script he says “finally, home
sweet home”
