Splurge, a Philadelphia restaurant, will host a food stand at the Manayunk StrEat Festival on October 2nd from 12-4pm. The stand will feature cooks from Korea, Kenya, and Haiti demonstrating and serving traditional dishes from their home countries, such as Korean chives pancakes, Kenyan fried sweet dumplings, and Haitian fried plantains. The owner aims to expose festival attendees to diverse, authentic ethnic cuisine while also providing an interactive experience where they can learn about the food as it is being prepared.
