Professional and capable Mechanical Fitter with experience covering a vast range of industries mostly
associated with the Oil & Gas and sectors. I completed my Engineering apprenticeship with Clydeunion
Pumps (Formerly Weirs pumps) in 2013 and have worked there using my trade ever since. I build, strip,
inspect and test a wide variety of pumps and components which are relevant to the different engineering
projects im working on daily. I regularly have to meet targets and deadlines set by both the company and
the customer whilst constantly meeting quality standards of such a technically demanding environment. I
am very enthusiastic and mechanically sound minded with a keen attitude towards engineering. I am
confident enough to approach any job large or small and am constantly seeking to learn new skills to add
to the wide range i have already developed through School, College, my apprenticeship and time on site

Mechanical Fitter
* Working on a variety of centrifugal pumps from small Uni-Glide and Iso-Glide pumps to more complex
multi-stage cartridges for centrifugal boiler feed pumps and sea water injection pumps used in the Oil and
Gas industry.
* Direct contact with Cell leader daily and either get given a job solo or as part of a team.
* Inspecting shafts and impellers and record sizes.
* Building and Hydro Testing Iso-glide pumps to specified company or customer specifications and
checking for any leakages, rectifying where necessary.
* Completion of paperwork including test results and graphs recorded.
* Bearing housing stripped for Bearing and Thrust pad inspection after return from testing.
* Direct contact with cell leader and customers

I play football once a week and try to go to the gym as much as possible with any spare time i have after
