McDonald's Case Study Marketing Presentation

Editor's Notes

  • #2 Welcome everyone. In this presentation I will be talking about the brand Mcd from marketing perspective and its rise as a Leader to the throne in fast food industry
  • #3 It was founded in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald, in San Bernardino, California. In 1948, they reorganized their business as a hamburger stand, using production line principles
  • #5 Today, McDonald's is the world's largest restaurant chain, serving approximately 68 million customers daily . McDonald's primarily sells hamburgers,  chicken products, french fries, breakfast items, soft drinks, milkshakes, wraps, and desserts.
  • #6 Revenue US$24.622 billion
  • #17 Listening to customers
  • #18 Morgan Spurlock's 2004 documentary film Super Size Me claimed that McDonald's food was contributing to the increase of obesity in society and that the company was failing to provide nutritional information about its food for its customers. Six weeks after the film premiered, McDonald's announced that it was eliminating the super size option, and was creating the adult Happy Meal. In response to changing consumer tastes and after facing criticism for the unhealthy nature of their food,[6] the company has expanded its menu to include salads, fish, wraps, smoothies, and fruit.
