2. Michelle Bruenn is a freelance event creator with extensive experience orchestrating
large scale underground parties, non-profit fundraisers, historically themed lectures
and performance based events. She has worked with a variety of organizations and is
practiced at coordinating between many contributors and addressing clients’ needs.

Michelle Bruenn worked as the
assistant to the owner of G&S events.
In that role she planned large scale
entertainment events in NYC involving
hundreds and sometimes thousands of
guests. She coordinated teams of up to
twenty volunteers, supervised setup
and breakdown, managed back stage
during events, coordinated between
staff and handled communication.
Michelle prepared timetables and
budgets, coordinated with suppliers
and researched potential sponsors. She
prepared press releases, corresponded
with press, promoted events through a
variety of social media platforms and
edited weekly events listings.
4. “New Year’s Eve: The Bootleggers’ Ball” 2010 and 2009
Created an immersive speakeasy setting and orchestrated a full night of live entertainment.
Highlights: Unique VIP experience, fire performances, multiple live bands, 500+
attendees, featured by multiple press outlets including Time Out NY.
5. “Halloween: Masquerade Macabre” 2009 and 2010
Coordinated with Rubulad to present an incredible night of live entertainment.
Highlights: Performances by Sxip Shirey and BIG NAZO, 1500+ guests, extras included body
painting and portraiture onsite.

Immersive circus event incorporating many varieties of performance.
Highlights: Aerial performance, fire dancers, custom art installation by Molly Crabapple
7. G&S' 8th B-Day Bash: The Vault of Golden Vapors, 2/14/10
Immersive Chinese New Year celebration featured in the New York Times.
Highlights: Live performances of Chinese traditional dance, catered Chinese feast, detail oriented redesign of a bare loft space.

Michelle Bruenn has recently
begun organizing fundraisers for
non-profit organizations. Her
work in this area has augmented
her client management skills and
given her more experience
working with a minimal budget.

intellectually engaging and
tremendously rewarding.
9. Archimedes Project Winter Fundraiser 12/2015
First fundraising event in NYC for a small 50(c)3 non-profit that works to find market driven solutions to water crisis worldwide.
Highlights: open bar winter fundraiser for 50 guests in a Midtown location for under $800 with a net profit
of over $1k, which exceeded the goal for the event, pop-up art show raised additional funds.
10. ➤ Atlas Obscura Events
Atlas Obscura is a company founded on the
principle of exploring the unknown. Their
audience is focused on discovery and events
created for this audience revolve around the
concept that they should be not only
entertaining but also acquaint the audience
with new ideas and information.
Michelle Bruenn is currently working as a
field agent for Atlas Obscura events. In this
role she creates proposals for new events,
pitches proposals to the Regional Events
Director and handles logistics for events, from
researching history to recruiting performers
and negotiating contracts. Michelle manages
set-up and breakdown and coordinates
between all participants. She writes press
releases for events, manages social media
promotion on Facebook and Twitter and
submits events to relevant press outlets.

Exploration of the history of burlesque in America through lecture and performance.
Highlights: lecture by academic and nerdlesque star Loretta Jean, performances by six burlesque legends including Dirty Martini and Ms. Tickle, specialty
cocktails in an intimate setting. Sold out three days prior to event.
