Maximilian Karl Emil "Max" Weber was a German sociologist, philosopher, jurist, and political economist whose ideas profoundly influenced social theory and social research. He is considered one of the founders of sociology and social science. Weber presented an analysis of world religions and the relationship between religion and capitalism, and analyzed the rise of bureaucracy in both public and economic spheres.
