Attributes and values directly inserted in HTML tags -> can quickly become complicated when the info/data to markup is spread across the source code.
JSON-LD -> easier to implement, but be careful!
Bing doesn’t support JSON-LD, yet.
It’s easy to forget that you should not mark up data that is not visible to the user.
