To whom it may concern,
I have had the pleasure to work with Todd Fatone for the past 3 years, and it is with great
pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on his behalf! I joined AstraZeneca in late
2013, and Todd was one of the first leaders to extend himself in an effort to help me better
understand the diabetes market in Los Angeles, the unique qualities of our product portfolio as
well as the culture of the company. Todd consistently included me as well as my team in his
market initiatives and product training exercises, as we worked together to ensure our districts
performed with the highest level of clinical confidence and territory knowledge.
As the Engagement Point DBM for our San Francisco Region, Todd sought feedback from our
entire leadership team to build out and execute a recognition and reward series. What he came
up with was nothing short of amazing, and representatives in our region still aspire achieve.
The One San Francisco Region “Dare To Be...!” Award Series recognizes sales specialists and
DBMs alike for modeling and delivering on the AstraZeneca values. Through his continuous
demonstration of high level engagement and living the AZ values, Todd was nominated by his
DBM peers and voted as the Most Valuable District Business Manager for 2015.
Todd was appointed two critical leadership roles within our SF Leadership Team. In preparation
for the possible launch of a new product, Todd took an important role on the West Area Disease
State Awareness Campaign. This select group of leaders from across the West Region served
as between the brand team and the sales specialists to raise awareness and set expectations
around important milestones in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes. Second, Todd was also our
Point DBM for the training and integration of the new 1AZ Selling Framework (1AZSF). This
new to AZ selling framework was an effort to align a single sales model across all AZ
therapeutic areas. Todd worked seamlessly with senior leaders across TAs to effectively train
and embed the 1AZSF into our team’s daily execution.
Regardless of the task or challenge, I can always count on Todd to face them with a positive
attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed. For example, during the launch of
our Flagship diabetes drug Farxiga in 2014, Todd worked 45 consecutive days in the field with
his people to ensure they were well prepared to deliver results as well as to gather field
intelligence and market insight. Todd is the kind of leader sales specialists love to work with
because he is confident and competent in the trenches, making a difference for patients and
providers.
Todd Fatone can be counted on to be a leader among leaders, with the humility and self
awareness of someone who strives to improve every day. He is a big believer in continuous
development, for himself and his people. He doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk.
For all these reasons and more, I highly recommend Todd Fatone to anyone looking to elevate
the performance, quality and character of their organization. Please feel free to contact me if
you need any additional information.
Sincerely,
Matt Stokes
