STORY OF TRIGNOMETRY
• The first use of the idea of “sine” in the
way we use it today was in the work
Aryabhatiyam by Aryabhata in A.D.500 .
Aryabhatitam used the word ardhya-jya
for the half-chord. Which was
Aryabhata shorted to jya or jiva in the
due course. When aryabhatiyam was
translated into Arabic. The word jiva
was retained into “sinus”, which means
curve. When the arabic version was
translated into Latin. Soon the world
sinus, also used also used as
sine,became common in mathematical
texts through out Europe. The name
cosinus orginated with Edmund Gunter
in 1674. the english mathmatician sir
Jonas Moore first used the observated
notation ‘cos

SERIES
• Series means succession of things. In mathematics succession of things or
number is very important. Without series we can’t learn or read maths. I
think some students know about series, but there are also some students
those don’t even know about the word ‘SERIES’ . I’ll give you an example.
1,3,5,7,___,___,13,___,____,19. Whatare the digits between 7, 13 and 19.
We all know that al l given number is odd no., so, in the blank we take odd
no. in between 7,13 and 19 and that numbers are 9,11,15 and 17. At last,
I, think all of you know now understand that what series are. But the
question is produce why the series is need in the math. Without series
how children will know about putting and writing the number. If there are
not series how will they make counting, and so, without counting the
math is not complete. In equations, theorem and prove that question,
every type question etc. series is very important. Without succession of
number how can we put the value in the blanks. In question if we do not
use series our answer will never come. There is no answer without using
series.

• Behind every success there are a lot of hurdles and difficulties that
increase the challenging capacity or experiences of individual. This
project is tremendous and very interesting but behind this, there is a
lot of hard work by awaking late in nights.
• The following limitations came during this project.
• We get about only one month time so it is difficult to co-ordinate
with students as well as their work
• The month was also of August in which there are many holidays. If
some more months were given then our project would be better
than of present.
• The time given to us for this project was only one month.
• Sometimes they do not get time to be work on laptops because that
is using by their parents or elder brother/sister for a important
work.
