On a certain bakery, there were 230 monay breads
to be placed on trays. The baker wants to arrange
them in either 2, 5 or 10 rows. Would it be possible
for him to arrange the breads?
How many monay breads were in the bakery?
What does the problem asked you to find? How
will you find the answer to the problem?

Group Activity
Jaira has 70 collected stamps. Can she shared that
equally to 2 friends? 5 Friends? 10 friends?
To solve the problem, you need to know if 2 5 and
10 are factors of 70 or if 70 is divisible by 2 5 and 10.
To see if the number is divisible by 2, 5 or 10 ,test
by checking the ones digit
DIVISIBILITY TEST 70
By 2: Is the ones digit 0,2,4,6 or
8?

A. Put a check under each column to identify whether each number is
divisible by 2, 5 or 10.
Summarizing the Lesson
How do we find the factors of a number using divisibility rules?
• We recall and apply the rules on divisibility for 2, 5 and 10.
Divisibility rule for 2
All even nos. are divisible by 2
Divisibility rule for 5
Numbers ending in 0 and 5 are divisible by 5
Divisibility rule for 10
Numbers ending in 0 are divisible by 10
Apply Your Skills!
Use divisibility rules to help you solve the following
problems.
1. Frances has a collection of 672 stamps. She
wants to place the stamps in 2 envelopes .Can
she place the same number of stamps in each
envelope?
2. 2. The number of books in Karla’s collection is
divisible by 2,5 and 10. She has more than 11
books and fewer than 25 books. How many
books does Karla have?
Assessment
Using the divisibility rule, encircle the numbers whose
factors are the given number before each item.
