Maruti Suzuki is recalling approximately 100,000 Swift Dzire cars manufactured in 2013-2014 to replace a defective fuel neck filler component connected to the fuel tank. The supplier of this defective part is JBM, in which Maruti Suzuki has a 29.28% stake. Despite this recall, the Swift Dzire has maintained its position as the second largest selling car in India and the top-selling car for the month of July 2014, with sales of over 18,000 units that month. Maruti Suzuki is replacing the faulty component in unsold vehicles at dealerships.
