Shameful secrets of proprietary network protocolsSlawomir Jasek
There is a big bunch of tools offering HTTP/SSL traffic interception. However, when it comes to penetration tests of specialized embedded software or thick clients, we often encounter proprietary protocols with no documentation at all. Binary TCP connections, unlike anything, impossible to be adapted by a well-known local proxy. Without disassembling the protocol, pentesting the server backend is very limited. Though, based on our experience, it very often hides a shameful secret - completely unsecured mechanisms breaking all secure coding practices.
To demonstrate, we will show a few case-studies - most interesting examples from real-life industry software, which in our opinion are a quintessence of "security by obscurity". We will challenge the security of proprietary protocols in pull printing solutions, FOREX trading software, remote desktops and home automation technologies.

Czego oczekuje Pokolenie Y od procesu rekrutacji w firmach?PwC Polska
Młodzi oczekują relacji partnerskiej z rekruterem i spotkań w mniej formalnej atmosferze.

The space elevator was first proposed in the 1960’s as a method of getting into space. The initial studies of a space elevator outlined the basic concept of a cable strung between Earth and space but concluded that no materials available at the time had the required properties to feasibly construct such a cable. With the discovery of carbon nano tubes in 1991 it is now possible to realistically discuss the construction of a space elevator. Although currently produced only in small quantities, carbon nano tubes appear to have the strength to mass ratio required for this effort. However, fabrication of the cable required is only one of the challenges in construction of a space elevator. Powering the climbers, surviving micro meteor impacts, lightning strikes and low-Earth-orbit debris collisions are some of the problems that are now as important to consider as the production of the carbon nanotube cable. We consider various aspects of a space elevator and find each of the problems that these efforts will encounter can be solved with current or near-future technology.
With Java 9, modularity comes to your doorstep (whether you ordered it or not). This isn't your average language feature: making the most out of it may involve rewiring your brain. In this session we explore the benefits of a modular codebase using Java 9 modules. Because who doesn’t like more reliable and secure applications, meanwhile killing the dreaded classpath?
After reviewing the basic concepts of modules, we'll explore modularity patterns that enhance your design and development skills. We all have existing software, so migration of codebases to a modular world is an important topic as well. Automatic modules and other new concepts are added to your toolbox to this end.
Want examples? We've got plenty in this practical and code-driven talk. Even if you intend to use Java 9 without modules, this talk helps you prevent common issues. You'll be ready for Java 9 before you know it.
Both speakers are currently writing “Java 9 Modularity” for O’Reilly, expected early 2017. They have extensive experience under the belt already with the Java 9 Jigsaw early access builds.

28. Etap I. S jak społeczny
Cel: Zbuduj społeczność
Ogród społeczny to przede wszystkim ludzie, którzy go tworzą oraz
wypracowana przez wszystkich wizja miejsca, wspólnego dla
mieszkańców (np. podwórka, skweru, placu). To społeczność tworzy
charakter miejsca, realizuje wydarzenia, sadzi i pielęgnuje rośliny, dba o
małą architekturę.
