Delta Sigma Pi!
The Eta Psi Chapter was established
on February 1st 1970 at the University
of Houston C.T. Bauer College of
Business and has since initiated over
900 men and women into our
Brotherhood. This chapter is
steadfastly committed to developing its
members personally, professionally,
and fraternally. As such we are
frequent hosts to professional
speakers, community service events,
fundraisers, and fun social events. In
addition to hosting events, our
members frequently travel to
conferences around the nation to
increase business awareness and
prepare for life after graduation. The
knowledge that you gain from the
fraternity will serve you not only in your
career paths but will guide you
throughout your life.

Membership
Membership into The International Fraternity of
Delta Sigma Pi is selective, unlike other student
business organizations; it is not given freely to
everyone who submits an application with a
membership fee. A potential brother needs to
exhibit their leadership skills, ability to work in
a diverse team, and above all, a drive to
succeed and a passion to be a part of our
fraternity. We do this in order to select the
candidates that we believe will best represent
our organization and its values. However, we
do not want to discourage anyone who feels
they may not have adequate skills. What we
mainly look for is your passion to learn and
eagerness to experience what we have to offer.
Our process may seem difficult but it is one that
is incredibly rewarding. It may not be for
everyone, but if you do cross as a “Brother” of
The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi,
you will be brought into the wide network of
brothers from across the country. Remember,
networking is key in the business world
whether you are looking for a job or running a
business. Having thousands of brothers from
across the country willing to help you will be
indispensable in the future.

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity
organized to foster the study of business in
universities; to encourage scholarship, social
activity and the association of students for
their mutual advancement by research and
practice; to promote closer affiliation
between the commercial world and students
of commerce; and to further a higher
standard of commercial ethics and culture
and the civic and commercial welfare of the
community.
History
Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New
York University School of Commerce,
Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine
Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred
Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. Today,
Delta Sigma Pi has over 300 collegiate and
alumni chapters and over 226,000 members
around the world.
Service: Delta Sigma Pi is dedicated to
making a difference, because business has
both a unique opportunity and a compelling
duty to contribute to the larger community.
Frequent involvement in the community
instills deep feelings of brotherhood while
developing business skills.
Social: Delta Sigma Pi facilitates social
activity among students, the community, and
business organizations. The network of
members around the world provides a wealth
of business resources, professional contacts,
continuing education opportunities, and
community support to even the newest
business graduate.
Values
Professional: For more than 100 years, Delta
Sigma Pi has encouraged, supported, and
shaped the professional goals and personal
aspirations of thousands of members. It is the
foremost professional fraternity for men and
women pursuing business careers.
Past professional development events
include alumni mixers, career fair workshops,
corporate tours, discussion panels, and
resume seminars hosted by companies such
as ConocoPhillips, DiCentral, Gallery
Furniture, Men’s Warehouse, Houston
Dynamo, Mass Mutual, PwC, Reynolds &
Reynolds and many more.
