4. WHAT IS DELTA
SIGMA PI?
Delta Sigma Pi (DSP) is a professional co-ed fraternity organized to
foster the study of business in universities; to encourage
scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their
mutual advancements by research and practice; to promote closer
affiliation between the commercial world and students of
commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics
and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the
community.

Christine Nguyen
Christine has an incredible work
ethic both on and off the mat. She
single handedly executed and
maintained all Seattle marketing
initiatives for Coldplay's "A Head Full
of Dreams" album release, and
successfully claimed her first judo
National Championship within just
two years of starting.

Regan Cline
Regan is a perfect example of time
management and hard work paying
off—as a sophomore, he’s already
completed internships with
companies like Russell Investments
and the London Stock Exchange.
Also a talented baker and a
dedicated member of DSP, we can
always count on him to pour 100%
into everything he does.

Ben Brinkman
Ben is active and intentionally pursues
what he loves: the outdoors, snowboarding,
and traveling. Whether it is a mesmerizing
time-lapse, a stunning moment captured
above the clouds, or a glimpse of his
weekends spent camping, he never fails to
impress his brothers in Delta Sigma Pi.
Mason Shigenaka
A computer and technology enthusiast,
avid baseball fan, and an incredible friend
to others, Mason is such a valued brother
to Delta Sigma Pi. He was voted Brother of
the Quarter Spring 2016 and recently
landed his dream job as a Sales Data
Analyst Intern for the Mariners!
Uyen Cao
Last year Uyen received admission into
both the University of Washington's School
of Design and the Michael G. Foster School
of Business to double major in fields that
she loves. She has found her community in
organizations like Delta Sigma Pi and
Young Executives of Color and consistently
gives back as a mentor to others.

Selma Chang
Selma is the type of person who pursues
her passions fearlessly. Despite joining
DSP as a junior, she has made the most of
her time by helping to plan the annual
Leadership Conference. Upon graduation,
she will be working at LinkedIn in a sales
rotational program. You can catch her
performing with the UW Hip-Hop Student
Association, exploring new food places, or
practicing brush lettering.
Eric Chen
Eric was selected as part of the Husky
100 for his willingness to be boundless
in his achievements and acts of
kindness. The Husky 100 recognizes
undergraduate and graduate students
from all three University of Washington
campuses (Bothell, Seattle, and Tacoma)
who are consistent in their academic
and personal endeavors. We are so
proud to have him as a brother!
Alyssa Chow
Alyssa and her friends created the
first travel magazine to ever hit the
shelves at the University of
Washington titled Voyage--sharing 44
pages of incredible adventures,
photography, and stories curated and
crafted for and by UW peers. As of
June 2016, Voyage has been published
on the shelves of the University
Bookstore and Bulldog News!
9. PROFESSIONALISM
Our chapter encourages
professionalism through
development and mentorship from
our members and professional
resources. More specifically, we
value a growth-mindset; through
our annual leadership conference,
LinkedIn and resume audits, guest
speaker panels, and networking
opportunities.
Our members are as diverse as the
companies that we are involved
with—and we want DSP to
continuously be the valuable
resource that it is today. Moving
forward, we will be providing a
greater variety of resources that will
target business, technology, and
related majors.

10. COMMUNITY
SERVICE
We are committed to a mutually
beneficial exchange of time,
talents, experiences, and resources
between our fraternity members
and the surrounding community.
In this way, we recognize—and will
continually pursue—the many ways
in which DSP can both contribute
and learn while serving others.
In previous years, we've had the
privilege of volunteering with
several service-oriented
organizations, from national
nonprofits like American Cancer
Society, Ronald McDonald House
Charities, and National MS Society,
to local organizations such as
EarthCorps and GiveSafe. We will
continue volunteering with these
and other organizations in the area
in order to help them serve while
also giving our members new
perspectives on the Seattle area's
diverse needs. In the future, we also
hope to create innovative events
and organizational partnerships in
order to foster comprehensive,
long-term community progress.

11. BROTHERHOOD
For us, brotherhood goes beyond
events and activities organized to
invoke camaraderie and closeness
between brothers. At the core of
Brotherhood is the idea of
authentic genuineness, and how
every interaction can leave some
sort of impact.
Whether through discussions
coordinated at our semiannual
retreats, or the care
and effort placed into fostering
mentorship through big little
pairings, our goal is to connect
brothers with similar interests and
aspirations in order to grow
together. Our hope is that by
highlighting unique talents and
stressing the importance of
conversational skills in business
interactions, brothers from our
chapter can present themselves as
standalone individuals to companies
and more effectively connect with
employers.

Congratulations to Cassie Le
and Scott Tatsuno for being
nominated Brothers of the
Quarter for Fall 2016!
12. SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship pillar takes many forms. Delta
Sigma Pi emphasizes the importance of not only
learning in the classroom, but applying that
knowledge to our everyday lives. Our VP of
Scholarship provides resources to our members
to help them excel and challenge themselves
academically.
We have the whole
spectrum when it
comes to age range and
business focus. Our
own members are
Delta Sigma Pi’s most
invaluable resources in
the form of tutoring
services and academic
help.
We rent out
classrooms and host
study groups during
midterms and finals.
Members who study
together, succeed
together.
DSP utilizes a textbook
exchange as a
convenient and cost-
efficient way for
members to get books
each academic quarter.
DSP Glassdoor is a hub
compiled of shared
academic and
professional
development resources.

13. The conference seeks to develop
qualities that can assist students
in their future professional
endeavors, such as the concept
of marketing oneself, the
transition from college to career,
leadership styles, etc. These
merits are developed in a series
of workshops over the course of
the day, led by company
representatives.
The theme for our 2016
conference was UNDEFINED
LEADERSHIP, and goes off of the
idea that there is not one set way
to be a leader. A leader does not
necessarily have to be in the
spotlight, but can also lead by
being the individual behind the
curtain. In that sense, leadership
is undefined-each individual
finds his or her own unique
style.
This past conference was
incredibly successful, with 185
student participants, and
approximately 20 companies
attending such as Nike, Boeing,
and more . We even had the CEO
of Brooks Running as our
opening keynote speaker!
We are looking forward to
hosting another conference this
year with the theme “Find Your
Trademark: Leadership Through
Personal Branding”.
