                      ‘GOLF’ a collection of paintings,

                Artist in Residence for Dubai World Championship 2009


Leisurecorp, a division of Nakheel Leisure and organisers of the Dubai World Championship,
presented by DP World, have invited Mark Robinson to be the ‘Artist in Residence for Dubai
World Championship 2009’ to capture the key moments of the end of season finale to the season

long Race to Dubai, which takes place from November 19 to 22 at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Mark will create several works throughout the tournament week, in full view of the spectators. On
the final day he will be situated close to the 18th green to capture the winning moment. This
painting will be auctioned for charity during the final day’s play, in the Hospitality Pavilion. Mark is
proud to be associated with such a prestigious event and it's sponsors.

Following the Dubai World Championship, there will be an exhibition of Mark Robinson’s new
‘Golf’ collection of paintings in the Jumeirah Golf Estates clubhouse – in addition to a
commissioned tournament landscape for permanent display in the Clubhouse.

Mark Edgar Thomas Robinson was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1960. Largely a
commission based artist, he has exhibited globally in countries such as the UK, Japan and the
UAE. This current collection is fuelled by his love of golf and includes images of famous courses
and ‘swing portraits’ of world class golfers. This is his third show in the U.A.E .

An invitation only, private showing of the collection will be held in Dubai prior to the tournament.
