Personal Statement
I currently work within a professional role as a tutor and assessor, working with both
apprentice and adult learners who themselves work within the commercial vehicle and
light vehicle repair industry. The training I deliver both to adult and apprentice learners will
range from level 2 through to advanced level 4,working to a scheme of work I develop
both interesting and engaging teaching and learning sessions both theory and practical
based. I have also developed a number of generic technical training courses including
engine management, selective catalytic reduction (SCR), electronic braking and controller
area network (CAN) these courses are both theory and practical based involving
workshop based vehicle diagnostics using both vehicle on board diagnostic systems and
diagnostic platforms including JAL test,Texa and Bosch FSA.
I am hard working and committed to delivering training to the highest standards, I work
well within a team and as an individual managing my own work load. I am an IRTEC
(Institute of road transport engineer’s certificate) accredited assessor and assess all
levels of IRTEC up to master technician for both the HGV and PSV sector. My current job
role also requires me to work away from home completing both IRTEC assessments and
technical training across the UK.
Skills
I have both industry based qualifications and skills, and also qualifications and skills
which allow me to deliver training and assessment, I obtained my teaching diploma in
2011 from the University of Bolton.
Completing my NVQ QCF Assessor Certificate.
I have good IT skills and use Microsoft word and PowerPoint on a regular basis.
