This document proposes a mentoring program called "The Winds beneath Youth's Wings" aimed at promoting spiritual transformation and well-being among youth. It discusses how the program would create a nurturing environment to facilitate social connection, goal-setting, reflection, and the development of a sense of purpose. The program is intended to help youth engage in self-assessment and regulation in order to heal from past harms. Spiritual transformation is described as a profound change in one's sense of self and mental states. The document maintains that spirituality can foster moral and civic identity in youth and help them become contributing members of their communities.
This article discusses the importance of body awareness. It notes that phrases in the English language once hinted at a greater awareness people had of their bodily sensations and expressions. However, nowadays fewer people pay attention to their bodies than technology. The advancements in technology have left many without needing to pay attention to their physical body, which is the sacred vessel for our lives. Being aware of energy flowing within one's physical body is a key promise of Qi Dao practices. The article focuses on neck and head alignment as an example, explaining that free energy flow requires a relaxed neck without excess tension.
The document discusses spirituality and social transformation in the context of the Philippines. It talks about reflecting on how individuals can work for positive social change and greater justice. It emphasizes considering issues from societal, environmental, and other structural perspectives rather than just personal experiences. Key figures in Filipino liberation theology such as Henriot, Padillo-Olesen, and Mananzan are discussed. The traditions of the Pasyon and Lakbayan are explored as resources for both resistance and liberation. Nonviolence and risk-taking with empathy (bahala na) are presented as Christian approaches to social change.
The document discusses various perspectives on using music to support psychedelic experiences. It covers topics like active listening, how music can facilitate meditative states, the role of timbre and different musical genres in enhancing experiences, approaches to creating playlists, and how ambient music can synergize specifically with ketamine experiences. The overall intent is to explore how music can be best utilized as a therapeutic tool within psychedelic contexts.

What happens when a group of people get together and sing from the heart? Generational trauma has severely impacted Indigenous Australians as a result of colonization, including the fracturing of families and communities through policies like removing children, incarceration, and cultural and spiritual genocide. Childhood trauma can lead to long-term negative health and social outcomes. Healing from trauma involves creating culturally safe places, telling and making sense of one's story, feeling emotions, and moving through grief and loss to acceptance. An educaring approach draws out healing through reclaiming culture and sharing stories so listeners can learn from storytellers' experiences.

It explores how inner vision and leadership can move others towards new perspectives through voice, action, rebellion, and living stubbornly for one's beliefs. Harrell - Meditation with Soul presentationShelly Harrell
Shelly P. Harrell presented on meditation with "soul" and soulfulness as connectedness, consciousness, calling, courage, and creativity. Soulfulness emphasizes experiencing emotions fully and authentically expressing one's deepest self. It involves mindfulness of the present moment, releasing mental constraints, observing experiences compassionately, and accepting life's changes. Soulfulness draws from African wisdom traditions and the struggles of Black existence to affirm humanity.

This document discusses the separation of individuals from the "core of nature" or "cosmic consciousness" and the inherent restlessness that results. It argues that reunification with the core through practices like Total Stress Management and Namasmaran can help individuals blossom to their fullest potential and experience harmony by properly identifying and performing their role in the greater "cosmic orchestra." When individuals live according to Dharma and Swadharma by emulating this cosmic rhythm, it can help transcend conflicts and lead to a globally harmonious society.

The document discusses what happens to the soul after death, drawing from scriptural texts and meditation. It states that there is an eternal consciousness underlying all names and forms, which is God or Brahman. It encourages seeking God through selfless service, renunciation, prayer and meditation in order to attain liberation from rebirth. It also seeks to remove the veil of ignorance around death and reduce the fear and suffering it causes.
The document discusses what happens to the soul after death according to Hindu scriptures and the teachings of Sri Swami Sivananda. It states that there is an eternal, unchanging consciousness (Brahman or God) that underlies all names and forms. Upon death, one's consciousness leaves the physical body and journeys to different realms until ultimately realizing Brahman. The goal of spiritual practices like yoga and meditation is to face death without fear and attain liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
1) Mediumship has evolved historically from early humans worshipping supernatural forces in nature as "gods", to the development of tribal mental mediumship and collective spirits beliefs. 2) Famous figures throughout history were said to have experienced mediumistic phenomena, such as Socrates, Brutus, Nero. 3) Mediumship was highly developed in early Christianity, with Jesus and the apostles displaying powerful physical mediumship like psychophony and xenoglossy at Pentecost, as well as spiritual healing.

4. TRANSFORMING TRAUMA IN PSYCHE AND BODY
The Biological Wisdom of BodySoul Rhythms®
WITH DANIELA SIEFF
Growing up with trauma, survival systems are activated in both the emotional
psyche and body. As a result, we come to live within a world which is funda-
been traumatized. Once this ‘trauma-world’ has been constellated, it becomes
so encompassing that we struggle to recognize its impact on our lives. Marion
Woodman articulated the dynamics of trauma in a visceral, potent and resonant
way, enabling many people to bring their ‘trauma-world’ into consciousness,
and recognize its impact. As importantly, together with Mary Hamilton and Ann
Skinner, Woodman developed BodySoul Rhythms—an embodied, creative and
integrative approach, which can make a powerful contribution to transforming
trauma. This presentation will outline the causes of trauma, focusing in particular
on Woodman’s depiction of the Death Mother and the biology that underlies
it. It will draw on recent biological research to discuss why BodySoul Rhythms
beyond our ‘trauma-worlds’.
GETTING STARTED
Awakening the Partners in the Dance
WITH ANN SKINNER AND MARY HAMILTON
Ann Skinner and Mary Hamilton, co-creators with Marion Woodman of the Body-
demonstrates the practical work of the original BodySoul seven-day intensives.
They will engage participants in movement, deep tissue relaxation, breath, voice
work and one of the core exercises called, The Dance of Three. This practical
exercise helps participants drop into soul time, express themselves from that
place, while being supported by two witnesses acting respectively as mirror and
experience of living presence.

is integral to the healing process in BodySoul work. A fairytale, “The Selkie,”
developed into a reader’s theater play and enacted by Woodman Foundation
faculty, is our avenue to the psyche. The loss of soul in both men and women is
the theme of this tale. It explores the split one may experience between a driven
or depleted ego, and the deep Self. Weaving theory, somatic expression, and
discussion we will explore the tale’s themes of embodied individuation—thus
experiencing the vital role of theater in Woodman’s work.
SOUL JOURNALING
Opening to the Words Already Written Within
WITH CATHARINE CLARKE
“The beloved journal grounds…in two directions, inner and outer reality.”
—MARION WOODMAN
Soul Journaling explores our deeply regenerative and therefore creative
natures by suspending our thinking and listening to the mystery that guides
us, moves us, and brings us most alive. Through gentle movement, simple
guided meditation, and sharing dream images, this introductory workshop
invites the creative imagination to open. Within the tenemos of a safe and
sacred container, participants will write together and share their work as raw
material made real.
POSTER SESSIONS
Relevant poster sessions will be presented by Marion Woodman Foundation

5. DRAW ON YOUR DEPTHS AND CREATIVE IMPULSES AS YOU
EXPRESS AND ENJOY YOUR UNIQUE VISUAL LANGUAGE
WITH VERNESSA FOELIX
Having a supportive space enables visual expression to become a deeper expe-
rience in relation to the dream, myth, body wisdom, and voice work, and allows
inner vision to take immediate form from raw new energy. Containment, self-re-
spect, respect for others’ space, and a new trust in the power of our inner voice
is visible in this work. Development realized through visual expressions—whose
message takes time to “hear”—is profound. It can be a new revelation to people
who haven’t allowed their visual statements to express their conscious soul
work and ego reality. A safe space for such experiences within a group often
contrasts to one’s past—when artistic expressions felt too vulnerable to share. In
this session, Vernessa will help create space for your visual expressions using oil
pastels on paper and clay work.
MUSIC: A PORTAL TO THE SACREDNESS
OF THE BODY AND SOUL
WITH CAROL JACOBS
From the very early beginnings of BodySoul Rhythms, Marion Woodman,
Mary Hamilton, and Ann Skinner had the wisdom to honor the connection
between the body and the soul. A portal into that connection is music and
movement. Music has the ability to cut through the rational part of ourselves
to allow a surrendering to the Self/Soul, allowing us be more fully human and
awakened to the transcendent and creative aspects of life. It can free us from
our ego focus to guidance from the intuitive essence of our being. In this
our souls. Through a variety of forms of music, including “live” piano music,
participants will have the experience of discovering their personal relation-
ship and responses to music, as well as having opportunity for discussion
and learning about how music and movement can be part of a personal
spiritual practice.
ACTIVE-ATING EM-BODIED IMAGE-INATION
WITH PATRICIA LLOSA
“The imagination is the bridge to the soul.”
—MARION WOODMAN
Coming Home to the Body is a call to our original geography—our body (container,
feminine)—as well as to our spirit origin (spark, masculine). These connections
allow us to engage the rhythms of our soul. By engaging our imagination, we
activate its natural healing function, and by engaging this experience in our
technique of active imagination by tethering the exploration of images in the body.
This witnessing and mirroring occurs within a carefully built group temenos. This
workshop will utilize the sounds of the Latin world and the essence spirit of the
duende. Our point of departure will involve identifying polarities and invoking the
duende’s shape-shifting presence. By this process we will invite the mysterious
awakening of a symbol and follow its unfolding.
EXPERIENTIAL VOICE WORK
WITH REA NOLAN
BodySoul Rhythms integrates three approaches to wholeness: dream work
(Jungian model), movement, and voice work. Our voices carry our soul’s
liberate one’s voice, which can become withheld or diminished as a function of
our identity. In this practical workshop we will experience:
• Grounded breathing: Breathing is the foundation of a healthy voice and a
working in tandem with the conscious mind. Contradictions between the
vocalization. Release work, followed by breath work in meditative stillness can
• Embodied voicing: Once a natural breath is established, voicing from sensation
and/or image helps liberate constricted energy in the body, bridging the
conscious and unconscious realms. Active embodied voicing—both voicing
and articulating language from this integrated state is a step in bringing
unconsciously held truths to conscious awareness.

compelling and evocative ways. Sharing this process can seed our dreams and

MARION WOODMAN: DANCING IN THE FLAMES
SATURDAY EVENING
Powerful and insightful, Marion Woodman: Dancing in the Flames by Adam
Greydon Reid explores the inspiring life of renowned Jungian Analyst and
author, Marion Woodman. Celebrated for her work on feminine psychology and
addiction, her vital words and wisdom hold a key to understanding the world’s
current crisis. With honest and trademark wit, Woodman explores the mysteries
of the soul’s journey and reveals a series of psychological ‘deaths’ and ‘rebirths’
that have made her who she is today. From her revelatory experiences in India,
to surviving cancer, Marion’s unique journey sheds light on a planet in the midst
of “a shedding of its outwork skin.” Featuring stunning animation by Academy
Award winning artist, Faith Hubley, and with insight from esteemed author and
mystic, Andrew Harvey, Marion weaves her inner and outer lives together and
transmits a core truth of what it meals to be human.

and creativity. Connecting with buried energies, we may discover the wisdom of

ADDICTION, PERFECTION, AND BEING HUMAN
WITH GAIL GRYNBAUM, CARYN AMAN, ANN SKINNER,
AND MARTHA DE LA GARZA
Marion Woodman published Addiction to Perfection
that witch who manifests as an addiction, dissociated trance, lacerating self-
criticism, or paralyzed life energy. To envision that beheading, and birth of new
life, Marion gives us a map to explore the dynamics of the Feminine Archetype
and the dangers of identifying too closely with either the darkness of Medusa or
the light of the Great Mother. Archetypal energy is powerful and in the realm of
the Gods, but it is also impersonal. The greatest psychological challenge facing
women and men today is the ability to be imperfectly whole, present in our
earthly lives, soulfully embodied, and in compassionate relationship to self and
others. The myth of Medusa, the Patron Goddess of Perfection, will ground us as
we relate to the characters in the story and question how they might resonate in
our lives. Through sacred ritual, discussion, dream work, movement, voice, and
art we will learn how to recognize the feel of Medusa’s petrifying spell.
INTEGRATING PSYCHE AND SOMA:
Sandplay Therapy and Embodied Consciousness
WITH JUDY ZAPPACOSTA
share common ground in the exploration of psychological transformation and
temenos for psychic growth to occur. In Sandplay Therapy, containment is
meant to provide matter as feminine materia. It becomes a potential place for
growth and transformation to be mirrored and reciprocally held in the body. This
yet unique individuation process inviting a natural possibility for integration of
body and psyche. A new embodied consciousness can arrive through both
the sandplay process as well as working directly through sensory exploration.
Integrating body/soul work with sandplay will be the emphasis of this workshop,
integrating experiential exercises throughout the day.

ensure that the work initiated in BodySoul
Rhythms Intensives—which were created
by Marion Woodman, Mary Hamilton, and Ann Skinner—continues and
the belief that psyche and soma are inseparable and must be worked on
together in order for one to become more conscious. This integration of
mind and body, soul and spirit, incorporates work with dreams and imagery
together with body and voice in a powerful way that honors the uniqueness
of each individual. The roots of this approach grew out of a deep respect
for dreams, C.G. Jung’s understanding of the psyche, the great wisdom of
the body, and Marion Woodman’s passionate commitment to articulating
the sacred feminine and the embodied soul.
BODYSOUL PROGRAMS
These programs are designed to foster the individuation process through
an exploration of dreams, movement, voice, masks, art, theater, and ritual.
The safety of the temenos created in the structure and format of the
programs fosters the healing of old wounds and the emergence of new
energies. We pursue the ‘inner marriage’ as we honor the positive feminine
in our bodies and the positive masculine in our creative pursuits.
BODYSOUL CORE PROGRAMS
These programs are based on the psychology of C.G. Jung, Marion
Woodman’s BodySoul work, and the articulation of the sacred Feminine.
They also incorporate Mary Hamilton’s bodywork, Ann Skinner’s voice
work, and mask work adapted from their combined background in the
theater. Lectures are combined with experiential exercises in an intensive
format allowing participants a deeply embodied understanding and
experience of this work. The length and structure of BodySoul Intensives,
which Marion compares to an initiation, facilitates the initiatory aspect.
