This document summarizes Vermont's approach to using data-driven decision making to support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in schools. It provides an overview of the PBIS implementation in Vermont, describing the various state agencies and organizations involved in supporting schools. It also describes the tiered system of support for schools, including the data tools and resources available at each level to facilitate data-driven problem solving. Data is shown on the growth of PBIS implementation in Vermont schools over time, as well as outcomes like decreased office discipline referrals and time out of school/class. The role of data analysis to support decision making is emphasized.
Carol Ryff presented research on psychological well-being and its connection to art experiences. She defined well-being as having purpose, growth, autonomy, mastery, acceptance, and relations. Her research found that having purpose is important for health and longevity. While purpose declines with age, some older adults maintain high purpose which relates to better health behaviors and outcomes. The presentation discussed how art at museums can help nurture the different aspects of well-being like purpose, growth, and relations. Ryff proposed further research exploring how art and cultural experiences impact well-being specifically purpose engagement at all ages.
This document discusses policies to prevent youth smoking in Colorado. It notes that tobacco kills over 4,400 people in Colorado each year, and 80-90% of smokers start by age 18. The tobacco industry spends over $12.5 billion annually on marketing, including $170.7 million in Colorado. New nicotine products like e-cigarettes are also increasing in popularity among youth. The document proposes several policy options to reduce youth access and initiation, including increasing cigarette taxes, enacting retailer licensing laws, restricting flavored products and sales near schools, and updating the tobacco-free schools law. There is strong evidence that limiting youth access through these types of policies can effectively reduce smoking rates.
1) In 1650 BC, Jacob gave his son Joseph a colorful shirt, causing jealousy in Joseph's brothers who eventually sold him into slavery in Egypt.
2) As a servant in Potiphar's house, Joseph's intelligence and strength were evident. However, Potiphar's wife attempted to seduce him.
3) Joseph, knowing God through his ancestors like Abraham and Moses, refused her advances, not wanting to commit adultery or sin against God. This led to his false imprisonment.

This document discusses the degradation of plastics over time. It examines research on the breakdown of various plastic materials, such as polyethylene bottles and polystyrene cups, when exposed to different environmental conditions like weather, sediment, and heat over periods of 2 years. The research found that plastic type and environment significantly impact degradation rates, with thermal aging causing faster breakdown than weather or water exposure. Most plastics showed chemical changes within 24 months, with polyurethane breaking down most quickly. Cigarette butts were also examined and found to degrade into paper and acetic acid. Understanding plastic degradation can help address the global pollution problem.
This document discusses sustainable transport and packaging materials for artworks. It summarizes the risks involved in transporting cultural heritage like vibration, climate changes, theft and accidents. It outlines preventative measures like planning, confidentiality, gloves, experienced handlers, adequate packaging, labeling, fastening, couriers, supervision and equipment to control temperature and humidity. It also notes the dilemma between requirements for transporting art versus sustainable solutions. Different transport methods like trucks, planes, ships and trains are discussed in terms of sustainability. Finally, it provides examples of sustainable packaging and transport approaches like reusable crates, flexible packaging systems and virtual couriering.
1. The document provides guidance on practicing integrated pest management (IPM) in a calm and reasonable manner. It advises focusing IPM efforts on key areas like sanitation, exclusion of pests, and monitoring, rather than trying to inspect and treat everything.
2. Effective monitoring of pest populations involves using traps, record keeping, and identifying problem areas. Traps should be placed strategically and checked regularly.
3. Proper inspection is the foundation of any IPM program. Inspections should be routine and involve looking for pests, signs of pests, and conditions that could attract pests. Focus inspection on vulnerable areas and artifacts.

Baggrund:
Handicap sti
Særlige tiltag - Klekkendehøj
Ramme dige – river huse ned
