MARIAN AND ROSARY MONTH CELEBRATION
Project Title:

Theme: “To Jesus Through Mary”
RATIONALE: Mary as the Mother of God, is totally united to her Son, in her life and her
fiat. It is but proper that we too as People of God celebrate this great month of October
with various activities that are geared towards evangelizing the World Wide Web. It is
now high time to maximize and to make use of social networking media in spreading our
love and devotion to our Beloved Virgin Mary, Jesus’ Mother, and our Mother too. This
way, we may give tribute and pay homage to Mary: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary.
MECHANICS:
1. Each student will be paired with another student and their primary task is to find a
significant Marian image or picture both inside the school premises and in their respective

2. homes. This said image or picture will be part of a selfie together with either both of the
students or with each of them.
2. As one concrete modern way of showing love to the Blessed Virgin mary, the said
Marian selfie should be uploaded in all social media such as facebook, instagram, twitter
etc. But for order and organization purposes, it is a requirement for all said students to
have the said marian selfie uploaded in facebook BOTH as their COVER PAGE AND
PROFILE PICTURE.
3. Formal or religious NOT SACRELIGIOUS, Marian Selfie should be the sole
outcome of this Marian Project. Violators (such as poses with sacreligious nature
of all forms, in accordance with the school handbook) will be dealt with
accordingly, not to mention that such project will result to zero score.
4. The said Marian selfie should remain in the students’ FB profile pic and cover page
from the time they uploaded it (September 24, 2014) up to the culmination day of the
Marian month on October 23.
5. Each class CL chancellor (Sections A-F) or class presidents (Sections G-I) will assist
the CL Teacher in the regular monitoring of this said powerful evangelization project using
the mentioned various social networking media.
6. The Grade 9 students will be adding their CL teachers as their FB friend and their
respective CL Chancellors/President for at least during the duration of this Marian project
for grading purposes. Those students without social networking media are hereby
encouraged to make one for themselves for project compliance purposes. No other
special project will be given for those who will not comply with the mechanics.
7. A short essay about which Marian Title is in the selfie and the reason why such image
or statue was picked by the student/s will be featured below the #MARIAN.
8. The final output of this Marian Selfie Project will be a print out of said picture/s
using photo paper in various sizes ranging from A4 up. (1 print out of an A4 picture
using a photo paper costs P4.00-P6.00) These Marian Selfie will comprise the October
9, 2014 (FEAST OF THE HOLY ROSARY) EXHIBIT to be mounted at the the CPA
lobby from ) October 7-10 as one of the highlights of the Marian Month Celebration
of the Grade Nine Level and the CL High School Department.
10. Deadline of submission of the printed MARIAN SELFIE will be on or before October
1 so that the Marian Selfie Exhibit Team will have ample time to prepare them for said
exhibit.
