Youth Mission Trip - The mission trip will be at Ridgecrest in North Carolina. MFUGE
is the name of the trip and is put on by Lifeway. The youth went on an MFUGE trip three
years ago to Greenville, SC and had a great trip. They worshipped, played, met new friends,
and served those in the community. This year’s trip should prove to be impactful both for
the youth and for those we will serve. Please pray now for this opportunity.
Backpack Buddies - Thank you ALL for the ongoing food donations you provide for
Backpack Buddies. The weekend meals are going to children at Knightdale Elementary
School who might otherwise have little or no food from Friday until they return to school
Monday morning. We need lots of kid-friendly non-perishable food items to maintain this
ministry (a grocery list can be found in the vestibule for you to take home). The food
collection bins are located in the Education Building and the vestibule of the Sanctuary.
Thank you again for supporting this ministry.
Benevolence Help - A benevolence request was submitted by a church member and we are
still in need of $114. Anyone willing to help can submit your donation along with your
regular offering and specify the amount on your check or envelope. Thank you!
Fill the Barrel - March 22nd is Fill the Barrel Sunday. Please help us fill the barrels with
non-perishable food items for the UMC Food Pantry! These items are in high demand for
our neighbors and they need our help! A shopping list can be found in the vestibule.
Announcements
Coupons for Military Families - Alyssa Mozingo is collecting both expired and current
manufacturer's coupons to send to military bases overseas. She wanted to thank you for the
many coupons that you have donated so far and please keep bringing them in. The families
are able to use expired coupons, as well as current ones, at an installations' PX/BX
(department store) or Commissary (grocery store). Eligible Coupons: 1) Manufacturer’s
coupons only, 2) Current and expired (6 months or less), 3) There is NO NEED to clip the
individual coupons. There is a collection box in the Conference Room. Please contact
Alyssa Mozingo (alyssa.mozingo@gmail.com) for more information. Thank you for helping
our soldiers and their families!
Operation Christmas Child - We have a unique volunteer opportunity during the spring
break to bless children around the world. April 6th starting at 9:00 AM, our church family
has the opportunity to prepare shoeboxes that will show God’s love in countries where it
can be difficult to proclaim the Gospel. They have 37,000 boxes to be processed in just 4
days. If interested, please contact Terri Lucas by March 27th.
KBC Spring Bazaar
The date for the big event is set for Saturday, May 16th, and
your help is needed!
BBQ Chicken tickets are available for purchase today! There will be a
table set up in the breezeway for you to make your purchase or take
some home to sell. You may also make donations in $25.00 increments
to help purchase the chickens for the BBQ.
Lots of items are needed for the silent and live auction and now is the time
to be looking and asking for donations. This committee needs everyone col-
lecting/donating items for it to succeed.
Also, we need you to be working on craft items for the craft shop. Please let
Brenda Hailey or Phyllis Smith know what items you will be donating.
Help will be needed in all areas the day of the bazaar: crafts, bake shop,
live and silent auctions, plant shop and kitchen help (eat-in and take-out).
If you are asked to help, please say yes!
Thank you for all you are doing and will do to help make this year’s Spring
Bazaar a big success!
