I have taught Spanish levels 1 through Advanced Placement level 5 while
at Kettering High School. My current assignment is teaching Spanish levels
2, 4 and 5 AP. I have also taught Language Arts levels 1, 3 and 4 at the
secondary level. My responsibilities include but are not limited to
planning and executing lessons, communicating with students, parents,
colleagues, and administration, and participating in ongoing professional
development. I have also taken charge of implementing and fostering the
advanced placement Spanish program in Waterford.

Volunteered to participate in “Reading Apprenticeship Improving Secondary
Education” training. Learned new skills and strategies to help all types of
learners become better readers. Have implemented many of these new ideas
into my Spanish classes and have seen extremely positive results.

Authored a unit for part of an upper-level blended
instruction Spanish course. My unit focused on
stereotypes. Unit is now available to all districts in Oakland
County.

Trip Organizer and Group Leader
June 23-July 4 2008
Organized and lead a student trip to Spain. Traveled with 28
students for 10 days. Toured cities such as Madrid, Barcelona,
Seville, and Valencia.

Responsible for class fundraising, all homecoming activities including float
building, and organizing the Senior Prom.

Organized and implemented a Spanish club for students. Activities include

Designed and taught a weekly Spanish enrichment program for
preschoolers aged 3-5. Topics included greetings, numbers, colors, the
