Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize on November 25th, which is also the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. She is a Pakistani activist for female education and was shot by the Taliban in 2012 for her advocacy work, but has since recovered and continues campaigning globally for girls' and women's rights.
