This document proposes temporary solutions to address the housing crisis and related mental health difficulties in Ireland. It suggests broadening the definition of "housing needs" when assessing situations that impact mental health recovery. Examples are given of housing-related difficulties that can negatively impact mental health like living with abuse, overcrowding, unsuitable accommodations, homelessness, or lack of family support. The document aims to create a framework that can be adapted nationally but applied locally to help collectively tackle the housing and mental health challenges.
