The document discusses photographs taken of a park in Delhi during a hot summer in late June. It describes the intense heat in North India and how people are staying indoors with air conditioners running constantly. The park provides a pleasant oasis amid the urban heat, with trees and a lawn offering shade. Various sports like badminton and football are played early in the morning to avoid the worst of the heat. Concern is expressed that 16,500 trees are scheduled to be cut in Delhi and that groundwater levels are very low, putting the city's greenery at risk unless conservation measures are taken.
