This two-volume report from the World Bank examines the potential for increased economic integration among the countries of the Maghreb region in North Africa, namely Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia. The report finds that while previous attempts at integration have had limited success, new opportunities may exist due to market reforms and an improved political climate in the region. It puts forward a new vision for deeper trade and economic cooperation among Maghreb countries.

The traditional architecture of Morocco centers around the Dar home structure. Dars have high exterior walls for protection and interior spaces decorated with embellishments. Moroccan music is dominated by Chaabi folk music, traditionally played in markets and now at important events. Popular dances include the Guerda blessing dance of nomads and the women's circle dance of Ahouash, performed on special occasions.
Moroccan food, tradion, and culturl
Moroccan cuisine has been influenced by Amazigh, Moorish, and Arab cultures over centuries. Key characteristics include mint tea, breads like batbout and r'ghaif, sweets like amlou, and main dishes like couscous, mechoui, and bastilla. Recipes provided include ones for mint tea, bastilla, harira soup, and couscous. Moroccan culture and traditions vary regionally but also share commonalities like diverse folklore.

international. Plus de 20 000 sociétés étrangères y développent
aujourd’hui leurs activités, emploient près de deux millions de salariés. Elles
contribuent pour un tiers aux exportations, et sont à l’origine
de 20 % des dépenses de R&D consenties par les entreprises.
Les nouveaux investissements étrangers génèrent environ
30 000 emplois chaque année. Ce nouveau tableau de bord 2012 sur l\'attractivité de la France retient une
autre approche, en séparant l’analyse des données objectives
concernant les investissements et les déterminants des choix
de localisation de l’étude des jugements portés sur l’attractivité
française.
La comparaison entre la France et onze pays de l’OCDE (neuf
Etats-membres de l’Union européenne, les Etats-Unis et le
Japon) s’enrichit, dans cette troisième édition, de l’inclusion

L’analyse des indicateurs économiques souligne l’attractivité de
notre territoire, qui bénéficie de son positionnement géographique
en Europe, de la taille du marché domestique, de la qualité de ses
infrastructures et de la qualification de la main-d’œuvre, comme
de la qualité du cadre de vie.
La Smart Grid en Californie: Acteurs et Enjeux
La Californie est engagée dans la lutte contre le changement climatique, et cela passe par la modernisation de son infrastructure électrique. L’intégration de sources d’énergies renouvelables et le déploiement de véhicules électriques vont amener leur lot de perturbations sur un réseau vieillissant et en mauvais état. Mais c’est aussi pour cet état qui reste un champion de l’efficacité énergétique une formidable opportunité de remettre les compteurs à zéro en installant une infrastructure capable de flexibilité dans la gestion de toutes ces ressources variables. Pour beaucoup d’entreprises et de startups c’est aussi une occasion unique de se positionner sur un marché gigantesque. Projet FREEME de micro-finance Maroc Egypte
De même que l’énergie est considérée comme un besoin vital, la maitrise de l’énergie et le développement des énergies renouvelables représentent des enjeux importants au niveau économique, social et contribuent à lutter contre le changement climatique.
Leur développement est confronté à des obstacles, en particulier pour les personnes à faibles revenus et en situation de précarité énergétique : le prix et l’accès au financement sont les principales contraintes soulevées pour l’obtention d’équipements pour les ménages les plus pauvres et les petites activités génératrices de revenus (AGR).
La microfinance, reconnue comme un outil essentiel de lutte contre la pauvreté en favorisant le développement économique et social des micro entrepreneurs et de leurs proches, joue un rôle encore modeste pour favoriser l’accès à l’énergie et promouvoir des systèmes plus efficaces énergétiquement. Renforcer les capacités techniques et institutionnelles des acteurs locaux, inciter les institutions de microfinance (IMF) à créer des modèles financiers et à développer des actions de sensibilisation pour faciliter l’accès de leurs clients aux énergies renouvelables (ER) et d’efficacité énergétique (EE) permettent de diminuer durablement la précarité énergétique.
Ainsi, PlaNet Finance et ses partenaires ont décidé de mettre en place le projet FREEME au Maroc et en Egypte pour permettre la diffusion des Énergies Renouvelables et des services d’Efficacité Énergétique en y associant la microfinance. D’une durée de 3 ans, le projet FREEME s’attachera à apporter des réponses concrètes pour lutter contre la précarité énergétique des groupes de populations vulnérables des zones urbaines et rurales et à diffuser régulièrement les résultats. Dans le cadre de son partenariat avec le Maroc, l’Union Européenne soutient les principales réformes du secteur énergétique du Royaume par le biais de multiples actions et instruments financiers.
En complémentarité avec son principal programme d’appui sectoriel, le projet FREEME contribue au déploiement à l’échelle nationale et régionale de mesures d’efficacité énergétique et des énergies renouvelables par des mécanismes de financement novateurs et efficaces.

Le Plan solaire Méditerranéen a pour objectif le développement d’une production de masse d’énergies renouvelables électriques dans le pourtour méditerranéen. Cette perspective mobilisant tous les pays membres de l’Union pour la Méditerranée s’inscrit dans l’objectif de la construction d’une nouvelle solidarité en Méditerranée, de diversification des approvisionnements énergétiques de l’Europe, d’accroissement de la part des énergies renouvelables dans le bilan énergétique requis par la politique européenne de l’Energie et du Climat.
La production de l’électricité renouvelable et son transport doivent être développés simultanément. La valorisation des énergies renouvelable nécessite un réseau électrique pour les collecter, les transporter et les livrer aux zones géographiques de leur utilisation.
La production de masse des énergies renouvelables en particulier lorsqu’elles sont générées sur des sites distants des zones de consommation suscite un intérêt croissant pour le courant continu.
C’est pourquoi Transgreen se propose d’étudier la faisabilité d’un projet de transport à courant continu sur longue distance reliant les sites de production et de consommation d’énergie renouvelables envisagées dans le cadre du Plan Solaire Méditerranéen. Cette étude englobe les aspects techniques, industriels, économiques, financiers, règlementaires et institutionnels.

Rapport WINDUSTRY France 2010 : 150 entreprises d\'ores et déjà intéressées
Deux nouvelles usines sont déjà en route dans l’Hexagone. Celle de l\'allemand Enercon près de Compiègne (Picardie), dans la fabrication de mâts en béton, avec à la clé 300 emplois d\'ici fin 2010-début 2011. Et le projet d’EADS Astrium et Plastinov, près de Bordeaux (Aquitaine) pour la fabrication de pales, notamment pour les éoliennes de Vergnet.
Sur les 150 entreprises intéressées par le projet Windustry France, on trouve des grands groupes comme Safran (multiplicateurs, pales et composites, freins, etc), Nexter (électronique, mécanique), Caterpillar France (arbre principale, contrôle-commande, par exemple), ou encore les acteurs de l\'aéronautique DCNS et EADS.

This paper examines the economic and financial linkages between Morocco and Tunisia and their European partners. Using structural vector autoregressions, we find that growth shocks in European partner countries generate significant responses on growth in Morocco and Tunisia. For Tunisia, exports and, to a much lesser extent, tourism appear to be the major transmission channels. In Morocco, exports, remittances and tourism play relatively equal roles. An analysis with sectoral data supports these results.
Algeria – A Future Supplier of Electricity from Renewable Energies for Europe?
This document discusses concepts for renewable electricity exchange between North Africa and Europe. It describes several proposals and initiatives, including:
1) Technical studies from German research institutions that model large-scale solar and wind power production in North Africa connected to Europe via submarine HVDC cables.
2) Industrial initiatives like Desertec Industrial Initiative and the Union for the Mediterranean's Solar Plan that aim to invest in North African renewable energy projects for European export.

Chargé par le président de la République française en décembre 2009 de travailler sur ce dossier avec une équipe d\'une dizaine d\'experts de plusieurs pays méditerranéens, Charles Milhaud vient donc d\'en déposer les conclusions approuvées à l\'unanimité des membres.
La commission de financement du co-développement en Méditerranée, selon non nom officiel, suivait comme feuille de route l\'évaluation de "la capacité des institutions financières actives dans la région à mobiliser des financements et à proposer des pistes de réforme visant à une plus grande coordination et/ou à un renforcement des instruments existants, dans le cadre des projets de l’Union pour la Méditerranée".
Le texte insiste sur le déficit de financement pour certains secteurs stratégiques mais parle aussi des difficultés de financement de long terme des Pme et des Tpe ainsi que les problèmes d\'investissements sur les grands projets régionaux que sont l\'eau, le Plan solaire méditerranéen et le développement urbain durable.
Selon un communiqué publié par l\'Elysée, "le rapport met également l\'accent sur la nécessité de continuer les réformes entreprises en vue de créer un cadre juridique des affaires adapté et protecteur pour les investisseurs. Il met aussi en évidence la nécessité d\'accroître le transfert de compétences du Nord vers le Sud par la formation d\'experts."

Le Plan solaire Méditerranéen a pour objectif le développement d’une production de masse d’énergies renouvelables électriques dans le pourtour méditerranéen. Cette perspective mobilisant tous les pays membres de l’Union pour la Méditerranée s’inscrit dans l’objectif de la construction d’une nouvelle solidarité en Méditerranée, de diversification des approvisionnements énergétiques de l’Europe, d’accroissement de la part des énergies renouvelables dans le bilan énergétique requis par la politique européenne de l’Energie et du Climat.
La production de l’électricité renouvelable et son transport doivent être développés simultanément. La valorisation des énergies renouvelable nécessite un réseau électrique pour les collecter, les transporter et les livrer aux zones géographiques de leur utilisation.
La production de masse des énergies renouvelables en particulier lorsqu’elles sont générées sur des sites distants des zones de consommation suscite un intérêt croissant pour le courant continu.
C’est pourquoi Transgreen se propose d’étudier la faisabilité d’un projet de transport à courant continu sur longue distance reliant les sites de production et de consommation d’énergie renouvelables envisagées dans le cadre du Plan Solaire Méditerranéen. Cette étude englobe les aspects techniques, industriels, économiques, financiers, règlementaires et institutionnels.

Rapport WINDUSTRY France 2010 : 150 entreprises d\'ores et déjà intéressées
Deux nouvelles usines sont déjà en route dans l’Hexagone. Celle de l\'allemand Enercon près de Compiègne (Picardie), dans la fabrication de mâts en béton, avec à la clé 300 emplois d\'ici fin 2010-début 2011. Et le projet d’EADS Astrium et Plastinov, près de Bordeaux (Aquitaine) pour la fabrication de pales, notamment pour les éoliennes de Vergnet.
Sur les 150 entreprises intéressées par le projet Windustry France, on trouve des grands groupes comme Safran (multiplicateurs, pales et composites, freins, etc), Nexter (électronique, mécanique), Caterpillar France (arbre principale, contrôle-commande, par exemple), ou encore les acteurs de l\'aéronautique DCNS et EADS.

This paper examines the economic and financial linkages between Morocco and Tunisia and their European partners. Using structural vector autoregressions, we find that growth shocks in European partner countries generate significant responses on growth in Morocco and Tunisia. For Tunisia, exports and, to a much lesser extent, tourism appear to be the major transmission channels. In Morocco, exports, remittances and tourism play relatively equal roles. An analysis with sectoral data supports these results.

Chargé par le président de la République française en décembre 2009 de travailler sur ce dossier avec une équipe d\'une dizaine d\'experts de plusieurs pays méditerranéens, Charles Milhaud vient donc d\'en déposer les conclusions approuvées à l\'unanimité des membres.
La commission de financement du co-développement en Méditerranée, selon non nom officiel, suivait comme feuille de route l\'évaluation de "la capacité des institutions financières actives dans la région à mobiliser des financements et à proposer des pistes de réforme visant à une plus grande coordination et/ou à un renforcement des instruments existants, dans le cadre des projets de l’Union pour la Méditerranée".
Le texte insiste sur le déficit de financement pour certains secteurs stratégiques mais parle aussi des difficultés de financement de long terme des Pme et des Tpe ainsi que les problèmes d\'investissements sur les grands projets régionaux que sont l\'eau, le Plan solaire méditerranéen et le développement urbain durable.
Selon un communiqué publié par l\'Elysée, "le rapport met également l\'accent sur la nécessité de continuer les réformes entreprises en vue de créer un cadre juridique des affaires adapté et protecteur pour les investisseurs. Il met aussi en évidence la nécessité d\'accroître le transfert de compétences du Nord vers le Sud par la formation d\'experts."
