11. Comparisons
The two magazines main differences are based on their target
audience’s. NME’s target audience is 16-30 and Q’s target audience is
30+. The font on the front of NME is a bit graffiti like that younger people
would like but people 30+ may not like that. The layout on Q magazine’s
cover is all professional and in order but the layout on NME’s cover is sort
of overlapped and all over the place which wouldn’t appeal to 30+ year
olds. The artists featured also show the main difference. On Q’s
magazine cover it features artists such as Noel Gallagher, Madness and
The Human League who were big 15-20 years ago. However NME
features more relevant and currant artists such as Alex Turner, Skrillex
and The Vaccines.
