The document summarizes a mobile healthcare industry summit that took place in September 2010. It discusses the rise of mHealth and how mobile devices can be used for healthcare purposes. It introduces 3G Doctor, a company that provides 24/7 video consultations with doctors from mobile devices. The summit covered topics like how the iPhone and other mobile platforms could help advance mHealth, sustainable business opportunities, and connecting doctors through mobile technology. Attendees were also given demonstrations of 3G Doctor's mobile health services.
This paper presents the design and prototype implementation of the automation system that can be used two Arduino Nano with sensors. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this system, the devices such as LDR, temperature sensor, smoke sensor and motion sensor have been integrated with the automation system. In addition, the GSM and RFID modules are also used for security system. The functions of the sensors are to monitor and control the light, the room temperature and alarms. The main goal of the security system is GSM which is used to send the SMS alerts to the owner. Two Arduino Nano control sensors and relays that monitor a defined location and take action based on specified parameters like ambient light, temperature, etc. The microcontroller will send SMS to the owner if the sensors detect an abnormality. In addition, door lock security is developed by RFID module. In this paper, the presents of GSM module security system make more secure and reliable. Internet of Things IoT conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects things through the Internet. When it comes to a house, this concept can be aptly incorporated to make it smarter, safer and automated. This project presents an approach to incorporate a two level biometric based security system in deploying Internet of Things IoT for smart home system, together with due consideration given to user convenience in operating the system using an android based application to monitor, control the electronic appliances in the house. The objective of the proposed system is to ensure that the access to enter the house and thereby render the services of certain automated electronic applications are only by the legitimate users, and not anyone else. By using biometrics it is possible to confirm or establish an individual's identity. Biometrics has the potential to make authentication dramatically faster, easier and more secure than traditional passwords. This project adds mainly four features security, safety, control and monitoring to home automation. This approach ensures to provide all the operations done smartly thus avoiding any manual interventions until necessary. This project differentiates itself from others as it provides a low cost effective, compact and reliable secured home control and monitoring system with the aid of biometric fingerprint authentication and biometric face recognition systems for access and to control the equipment and devices remotely using an application over a portable Android device. The proposed system is implemented on atmega328 based arduino microcontroller board. Face recognition is achieved using matlab. Dr. B. Kedarnath | M. Lalitha Priya | G. Anusha | K. In India most of the peoples are using two wheelers .In the recent days it has been found that many people are met with accidents due to several factors such as over speed, not wearing helmet, by not removing side stand, etc.,.. Accidents may happen due to the following reasons viz. 1) During after Consumption of Alcohol 2) overtaking of vehicles 3) Careless driving in speed breakers. This project will be helpful in reducing the possibility of accidents and also for antitheft system. Our Proposed system will overcome the above mentioned drawbacks. In this system, RF Sensor, REED Sensor, Ultrasonic Senor, Gas Sensors are used.
Q8 Face Recognition & Face Temperature Integrated Detector - Contact-less Tem...AshwiniS72
The Q8 Face Recognition & Face Temperature Integrated Detector is based on face recognition algorithm and infrared thermal imaging temperature measurement algorithm.
It is equipped with binocular real-time security, temperature display, high temperature alarm and other functions. It can be used in multiple scenarios to regularly monitor temperature
of people gathering in large number like railway station, subway, malls, hospitals, supermarkets etc. This is indeed one of the best system to use post the coronavirus pandemic to be used in workplaces and other organisations. The face recognition using the international leading face recognition algorithm technology for face detection supports storage of more than 10000 faces.
The system also raises an alarm automatically when there is a temperature detection higher than the normal. It supports wall mounting, gate hanger mounting and pole hanger mounting in various scenarios. It is easy to install and comes with 1-year warranty.
The super shops are the places where people go to buy their daily using products and also pay for that. So the need to calculate the number of products sold and generation of bill for the customer. When people go for the shopping in a shop, we have to select the right product. After that, it’s a hectic to stand in line for billing purpose. Hence, we are going to propose the “Smart Shopping Cart System” that will save the track of products which are purchased and calculate the bill using RFID reader and Transmitter and Receiver. The system will also provide suggestions for products to buy based on user purchase history from a centralized system. In “Smart Shopping Cart System” every product in Mart will be attached with RFID tag, and every cart will be having RFID Reader, LCD display and Node MCU, Arduino Uno and Load cell sensor attached to it.
The aim of this article is to explain the readers the technique of sending data from the sensor
through the Raspberry pi and communicating it to the Thingspeak cloud which is an IOT
platform. To explain the procedure a simple ultrasonic sensor HC-SR-04 which senses objects
up to a distance of 13 ft connected with a raspberry Pi board is used.
This tutorial describe about Raspberry Pi board, Ultrasonic sensor, circuit design for sensing of
data, Python programming script with step by step interpretation. Finally procedure for creating a
channel in ThinSpeak for uploading our data and to read the uploaded data from a remote
desktop/mobile is also included in this tutorial.
Biometric sensors are becoming increasingly popular in surveillance and security systems. They have several benefits over traditional systems and are becoming more reliable. This technology is ideal for applications where accurate, precise identity verification is essential. These devices have the potential to improve the security of public places and facilities, such as financial institutions and airports.

These slides were used for a MDDUS webinar that aimed to explore the legislative and regulatory risks involved in doctors personal and professional use of social media, and in relation to responding to and engaging with patients via this media.
The objectives were to raise awareness of the common medicolegal risks associated with doctors personal use of social media.
To raise awareness of the common medicolegal risks associated with doctors professional use of social media. To explore ways in which doctors can most appropriately respond to patient feedback and contacts via online platforms.
Participants are equipped to apply the knowledge gained in the webinar to risk assess and safely manage their online activities.
